Anyway, regarding your thesis on downloads, I agree that it may have helped the Italian scene, but not only because people now know they can play whatever they want since they won't earn the same anyway, but also because downloads allow you to listen to bands that you probably wouldn't have paid attention to otherwise (especially me, who has always been quite prejudiced regarding local rock). Moreover, our musicians can also discover other bands to draw inspiration from and include in their influences, making everything more interesting.
