I confirm that besides kick ass, I would watch it in English because at least in terms of the dialogue, they’ve already made some cuts in the Italian version, like the lighthouse shaped like a cactus instead of breasts... :/

then there’s also the already mentioned hot fuzz and crank 1 and 2 which are great.

beautiful surprise this movie, really nice and original, even if a bit nerdy ^^ another movie that I totally recommend is kick ass, also quite original and lively.

@the decline: well, it wouldn't be the first time that so-called "intellectuals" start signing at least dubious petitions. Just look at how many defended/are defending dictatorships like that of the USSR or Cuba, just as many did with Nazism and the like, eh? The thing is, the first type still exists... or should we mention the Batista/Brazil case?

I don't completely agree; it's clear that after a while, creativity can’t reach the same heights as in the beginning. However, while some recent releases like Scoop, Barcelona, etc. might be a bit lackluster, I believe that as long as they work, it's fine. Even the latest, "Incontrerai l'uomo dei tuoi sogni," is a good film, even if it's not a masterpiece like in the past.
