Anna Calvi doesn't particularly inspire me, and I see that she's being promoted quite a bit out there...

So, is she good? Because I've felt her being recommended to me a couple of times already, but I haven't listened to her yet; I'm skeptical about the current hype :)

@teenage: anyway, it seems to me that you've done pretty much the same with AC/DC, huh? ;) As long as someone doesn't double up and writes well, all the better since at least it fills the database!

The only Autechre tracks I know are "Incunabula," "Tri Repetae," and "Draft"; you must really be a fan, huh?! :)

How cool, Jefferson Airplane + Black Sabbath?! That must be insane, I’ll note them down right away! Anyway, if you feel like it, feel free to share a couple of bands/albums with me!

However, I must say that I have a soft spot for female singing, so maybe I'm a bit biased :)

@bartle: ah, unfortunately I still haven't been able to see them live, I wanted to catch them together with the ghost but unfortunately the tour was canceled... anyway, I think they’re not that bad on record even though, well, de gustibus!

@bartle: I don't know the groups you mentioned, I’ll give them a listen!
@rockymarciano: There’s definitely no comparison with the originals; in general, I also tend to stick to the "classics" since everything tends to derive a bit from there. However, in metal, I occasionally find myself checking out some new releases from time to time... at least there’s the good side that maybe some new talent comes along to rediscover the old glories through these emulators :)

wonderful review even though it's a bit nerdy (like I am after all) :)
