Yes, of course it’s more of a matter of taste; that’s why I added that clarification :) Anyway, these are records that either you love or you don’t, since they’re quite particular. It depends on how they resonate with you. I’ve noticed that they tend to sharply divide opinions so far; I’ve mainly read enthusiastic reviews or ones that completely trashed them.

Look, "Killing Technology" ends up sounding quite different from the next two, which are instead more mature, so maybe try to take a chance on it. Otherwise, it's very beautiful, even if for me it's a tad inferior. "Angel Rat" leans more decisively toward psychedelia at the expense of the frontal assault (so much so that at the time it divided the fans).

hehe, but you are really wicked :) anyway in the end he will probably have to suffer a slow death from hunger, or maybe it will be the same family that took him in who, in a moment of desperation, will kill him and eat him ;)

As already mentioned, the ending of the film is, in my opinion, seemingly positive (something done for the general audience), while if one reflects on it, it's not that positive after all :)

yes, in fact it’s probably just like that

It seems to me that there was something like that, even though it didn’t last more than a week. I think not many people attended... ;) But in my opinion, this doesn’t take away from the fact that it was also meant for the cinema, which is why it adopted (perhaps due to pressure from the producers) this compromise. One could also say that the ending appears to be comforting, but in the end, he remains there with strangers, his father has died, and they have no clue how things will turn out or if they will find anything to survive.

uhm, summer always makes me crave psychedelia, I think I might just lend an ear to it.

It's dark, but in the end it was made for a quite varied/mass audience, so you have to include the comforting ending; if I'm not mistaken, this was also in the multiplexes! After all, even in The Dark Knight, in my opinion, for the same probable reason, they partially ruined the pessimistic atmosphere of the film in the scene where they have to blow up one of the two boats; there the director sends a message that was the opposite of what has been said so far (besides being quite unrealistic).
