Anyway, speaking of the website graphics, I preferred the "cow-ameba" or whatever it was as a mascot instead of this new one made of letters, but what can you do... ;)

@michoos: I hope you feel like diving a bit deeper into them because they deserve it :) I recommend starting with the double feature nurserx crime/foxtrot.

slightly inferior to the previous two but still another beautiful album; even if it starts here already the shift towards greater melodicity and immediacy, which will remain at excellent compromise levels until Wind and Wuthering inclusive; then Moonlit Knight and Firth of Fifth are two of my favorite Genesis songs.

For me, the RHCP have never come close to making an album like SCIENCE.

@haldsworth: excuse me, but what would be the weak points of foxtrot? Also here, the pieces you mentioned are short tracks, somewhat simpler, which help to make the album less heavy and fit perfectly into the context. If anything, I would say that lamb is their only album that could have benefited from some cuts since it ends up being a tad wandering (like practically all double albums, after all), especially in the second part.

I really don’t think I’ll listen to this, what a pity because the first albums were truly beautiful. I will continue to hope for a new album post-reunion of Faith No More because I would really be curious about what comes out.

Of course, some prog groups tended to lean a bit towards excessive baroque (ELP, Yes...) and sometimes got lost in meanderings that might have been somewhat self-indulgent, but bands like King Crimson, Jethro Tull, VDGG, and Genesis placed technique at the service of creativity, not the other way around.

@rorix: well, but how do you split a song like Supper's Ready or The Musical Box? It's the mediocre bands that limit themselves to making collages of songs; the good ones, when they create a long song, it means that every minute is necessary :) Also because if you listen to them a couple of times, you realize that they flow incredibly well!
