I like surrealism, my favorite "style," I believe.

I'm skeptical about this, not so much regarding the quality of the music itself, but about the usefulness of a band playing "classic" prog in 2011.

The only band of his that I completely believe in is Rainbow (absolutely great); I've always preferred the Ozzy era of Sabbath (less "clean" and epic in sound, much more gritty and dark), and his solo career has never won me over, even though it definitely offers good performances.

Like, think that I lost people like Faust, Helmet, Don Caballero, Mike Patton, etc. who all used to pass by my place :(

I agree on everything; especially on the atmosphere they manage to create, even with the audience! Moreover, I love groups like them who dare to experiment live; after all, what’s the point of presenting the same things almost exactly as on the CD? Unfortunately, many do that... :/

I have to admit I'm quite ignorant when it comes to the blues, even though I'm slowly trying to make up for it :)

I didn't know they were covers; thanks for the heads up! Well, in the end, I find that "describing" music is quite difficult; getting lost in technical details goes beyond my abilities, and I don't think it really adds much to the understanding. At the same time, I'm not a fan of dwelling too much on the emotional side because it doesn't come naturally for me to express myself in overly "poetic" terms. Ultimately, I think it's better for the music to speak for itself; I mainly took advantage of the review to highlight and talk a bit about the band in general. I don't mind covers either, even though I'm not really an expert on blues, so maybe to a more seasoned listener they might sound less astonishing.

a very particular film; perhaps a bit meandering but often very evocative, even though it left me with a sense of incompleteness. in any case, different from the usual and interesting

Yes, true? By the way, always about End The, if I'm not mistaken, they also recommended Gigant Squid to me, but I haven't heard anything from them yet. Maybe you should also check out the bands I suggested to comm.14, even if they are a bit more "melodic" compared to these. Oh, you might also like these, since you enjoy alternative/experimental stuff Of Natural History - Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Recensione di Hybris
