I didn't go crazy about it either, as you can tell from the comment above. It’s watchable, but if we want to look at its more recent outings, I much prefer Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers; those are masterpieces or nearly so for me. This one would be a 2.5, understood as a stretched sufficiency.

With this album, I have a love/hate relationship. I love it because it introduced me to Zorn's world and all its fantastic parts that give me immense joy, and I hate it because now I have to spend a fortune to get it all :)
