But how many are you writing?! :D Anyway, right now I'm delving into jazz, so I have to go through everything, even if a lot of stuff seems interesting.
These New Puritans Field Of Reeds

mh, I don't know, in general I'm not really a fan of orchestral things; in rock and pop even less... even though I've heard their name mentioned quite a bit around.
Iron Butterfly In A Gadda Da Vida

Nice album, but it doesn't drive me crazy... in any case, as mentioned by others, at least the title track deserves a listen!
Kevin Ayers Joy Of A Toy

beautiful, perfect continuation of the first two soft machine... my favorite among his
Kevin Ayers And The Whole World Shooting At The Moon
Voto:
Beautiful beautiful, maybe I slightly prefer Joy of a Toy, which is more Dadaist and reminds me of the early Soft Machine; but this one too, more psychedelic, is a must-have!

Alt-J An Awesome Wave
Voto:
So, after two listens I can only confirm Rano's comment; it's truly a beautiful record of melodic music, easy to listen to, yet elegant, inspired, and not trivial; of course, we’ll have to see how it holds up over time, but for now, thumbs up!

I only know a bit about the new-wave/post-punk scene from the former Soviet bloc, which has produced some pretty good bands, although almost all of them are Polish... ^_^ By the way, I've heard that even now Warsaw remains a decent hub for alternative culture.
Little Boots Nocturnes

Or maybe the name is a tribute to the little feat?! :D
