Oh Bravo Beautiful review and unbiased, for an extraordinary album, angry, wicked, bad! Just "disturbing the priest" is worth the 5 stars, then a great performance by Gillan, a singer I adore.

I almost forgot about the rating..... Fueled by anger and the fervor of seeking justice as usual.... hehehe
The first album by Opeth that I got, the album that made me love them! Still not my favorite though.

BLOPETH: L E T ' S S T A R T I T. You are incredibly ignorant because you should know that Akerfeldt is far from being able to afford a Ferrari. Just imagine that he recently stated that in order to support himself and his family properly, he is forced to embark on long tours, something he would avoid if record sales were sufficient.

I liked what you said, Luca, about refined listeners, and I thank you for considering me one. This was also a point I wanted to delve into; you see, Queen manage to please everyone (almost :-), both those who view music with a critical eye and those who listen to it because they don’t know what else to do. From my perspective, that's a great quality! Speaking of guitarists, it's mighty peaceful to think there's better talent out there than May, Iommi, Young, Blackmore, Gilmour, and Page. I understand the point you're making, believe me, but when you hear Gilmour, you immediately think of his great touch and taste, despite being a simple guitarist. May is a master of delay and has such a regal sound, especially on the early albums. With Iommi, you instantly recall all those riffs he’s produced since 1970. I think certain people have taught us a lot, don’t you?

But Luca, I know perfectly well that the importance of Queen, in terms of influence on other rock bands, is considerably lower than that of people like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd. This is normal; Queen didn't have a defined, recognizable sound. Perhaps they had one in albums like Queen II A.d.a.t.r. A.n.a.t.o., but even in these albums they are extremely eclectic, which has always been one of their characteristics. It's a shame you're missing out on a group like Queen; maybe one day you'll rediscover them, and I hope you do. As for Sad Wings of Destiny, just so you know, I have the entire discography of Judas:-) So I'm not limited to interviews with Rob Halford! The fact that Rob acknowledges the greatness of the band is another discussion, right? I also play guitar, or at least I used to; unfortunately, I had to give up the guitar and my band for university... Let's just say that technique has never meant much to me; I think more like Jimmy Page! In my opinion, you're wrong to underestimate Gilmour; I think the solo in Comfortably Numb is one of the most beautiful and intense of all time! A solo has to hit me in the heart; it's obviously subjective, and technique has nothing to do with it. A piece like Achille's Last Stand, for example, has a simple solo, but placed in that context, with that sound, those few notes can be of rare beauty. A David Gilmour may be vastly inferior to millions of guitarists on this earth, but I challenge anyone—Petrucci, Romeo, Impellitteri, Malmsteen, Satriani, Vai—to play a solo like Comfortably Numb. The greatness of a musician, in my opinion, also lies in their ability to reach ordinary people, and that's much harder than we think! How many incredible guitarists do you see on YouTube? I am truly amazed, but what will they do in life? Not necessarily to be a musician... Because it's not enough to be better than others; you must reach people's hearts, and they don't teach you that anywhere.

How can you give a 4 to an album like this? Even the maximum is too little for Symbolic.

Great album! Probably even better than Crimson. A must-have for fans of early Dark Tranquillity and especially Opeth!!

A record that I love. One of my favorite albums, and I would say very underrated.
