Great album indeed. Anyway, Cliff86, you can't make comparisons between people like Blackmore and Petrucci. There's a twenty-year gap. When Blackmore, May, Gilmour, and Page were around, that was the top of the top. Modern techniques didn't exist, or at least they were in their infancy and would be perfected later. So let's not say "It's not technical"; it's not for us who came later, but you are talking about people who CREATED. Before them, there was only the Blues, everything was born from there.

But I think you haven't even listened to the album; you started out with a big preconceived notion: "Always the same old soup." Instead, it's a very valid album.

Great review! The album is inferior to A Trick Of The Tail, but it contains unforgettable gems like Afterglow. If you want, I can give you an answer to your final question! Genesis in the '80s wouldn't have made Prog anyway! Prog ended in '76 '77. However, albums like the previous one and this one (both with Phil on vocals) are among my favorites. It’s interesting how the song format, which starts to emerge in these albums, manages to coexist with structures and arrangements that are distinctly progressive. I've always been fascinated by this phase of the Band. I also believe that a great deal of credit goes to good old Phil; in my opinion, songs like Ripples or Afterglow wouldn't be the same without his unmistakable style and timbre.

The review rating was 5, obviously.

Chris Cornell truly sings like a god, one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, amazing. The album is a masterpiece, but it couldn't be otherwise given the presence of members from Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Great review of an album that I LOVE, congrats, I’m adding you to my favorites.

So Crest Of Knave - Catfish rising, they suck because they're not on the level of Aqualung? But I hope you're joking.

But I’ve known Jethro Tull for years, and it’s you who’s incompetent judging a fantastic album as crap, produced during the golden years of the band, with one of the best line-ups. There’s nothing more to add.. Crazy stuff.

STIPE. What music are you listening to? Please go refresh your mind; the only painful thing was your review, which is best left behind. But do you know the title track? One of the best and most varied pieces by Tull, without a doubt. The album isn’t the best of the group, but it still has great quality, beautiful Cold Wind To Valhalla, by the way. And it’s one of my favorites along with Heavy Horses - Aqualung - Thick as a Brick - Crest of a Knave.

In my opinion, it's you to avoid. This is an excellent album; if you don't like it, that's your problem, but you can't shit on a record like this. This isn't just some A record; it has all the ingredients to be a good Jethro album, so don't you dare trash records like this... but look at you, you idiot, and YOU AT DEBASER, PLEASE DON'T PUBLISH SUCH IDIOTS. Thank you.
