The Beatles Strawberry Fields Forever / Penny Lane [7'']
Voto:
Only side A of this 7" is worth it, in the opinion of the writer, all that baroque mess of Sgt. Pepper (except for that undeniable masterpiece of a song, 'A Day In The Life'... for me, the only true gem that justifies all the hype around that album). P.S. I've never been an anti-Beatle; the White Album remains one of my favorite albums. But Pepper... boooh! Much better is Magical Mystery Tour. For me.

Never heard of... which is quite serious, considering I have a bunch of dusty vinyl records from obscure garage bands that I barely know... I need to catch up.

The review is excellent. Really well written.

Well... I didn’t like it almost at all. The previous one either. Too bad, their second album 'Primary Colours' I actually liked quite a bit instead. Even though it was stuff brilliantly done and redone many, many years ago, it had some really great songs. A quality I personally haven't found in the following two albums. The debut was nice too...

"Between Italian prog, singer-songwriters, and comic book dramatic films, this site is really softening up." Just for this opening line, you deserve a solid 5...

Great record. Another one of those vinyls I stole from my dad...

Well...I've heard bad things about them. I've never liked them, they're good no doubt about it, but I don't know. Not my cup of tea.

Honestly, I've never understood what these posers have, all dressed up as if it were a gay wedding, that's so special... with all due respect, you know.

Since as a teenager I listened to 'Surfer Rosa' instead of 'Indie Cindy', and thank god I add, and the word indie at most I had only heard it associated with Colombo, I'd give this even 2 stars...XD
