Wooden Shjips West

I will listen to it. I liked their self-titled album and the collection Vol.1.
The Vaccines What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?
Voto:
Useless, like all the next big things shouted to the four winds by the Albions from 2002 to today.

Jane's Addiction Nothing's Shocking

This is an amazing record! I prefer it just a little bit, but only slightly, to Ritual de lo Habitual, but it's insignificant!
Mark Lanegan I'll Take Care Of You
Voto:
The Gun Club and their version of "Run To The Jungle" embarrassing?? Okay, that might be enough... De gustibus, but come on, it just doesn’t exist! One of the most visceral and decadent bands (Blues in intention, not just the usual seventh chord guitar riff) that ever existed. And Miami is a masterpiece. Did it clash? Who cares, considering that one of my favorite vocalists is a guy named David Yow... Then again, de gustibus, with the utmost respect.

I was around during the "Grunge" era, in the late and completely self-destructive adolescence, and I saw the Trees open for Alice In Chains during the Dirt tour. Sigh... In hindsight, I find myself old and nostalgic for those times! I consider the album good, but Whiskey For The Holy Ghost is one of the most intense and demonic works of all time. Cheers.

Well! I don't know why, but these have never appealed to me.. Good, yes, but who knows! It must be a matter of tastes.
Stereolab Transient Random Noise Bursts With Announcements
Voto:
A disc. Period. Definitely my favorite by Stereolab, and "Golden Ball" takes me back to the times of pure heroin addict abandon of the mid '90s..
Miles Davis Aura
Voto:
Miles = GOD... even if here he wasn't saying much anymore. But in Davis, after alien works and above all, which calling masterpieces would still be reductive (Kind Of Blue, Nefertiti, In a Silent Way, Bitches Brew, Live Evil, On The Corner, Agartha, Tribute to Jack Johnson), everything can be forgiven, even a slight decline in the late stage of his career.
Sunny Day Real Estate How It Fels To Be Something On

I haven't listened to this, I have the first one, Diary, but I haven't listened to it in 15 years, and I remember it made me feel quite down. Who knows! I'll try to give it another listen..
