Really beautiful! The album, unfortunately, not so much. Their best, for me, remains Machine Gun Etiquette, the perfect meeting point between Punk and artistic maturity. Here, they were totally another band. Oh well, to each their own, but if I have to listen to these Damned I’d rather put on the first album by the Sisters of Mercy.

I haven't listened to this, but I've been curious to do so for a while, and I always forget. I have always been a great admirer of Mark, and I consider "Vivadixiesubmarine.." truly one of the most beautiful albums of the '90s...and not just of the '90s.

I have expressed myself elsewhere. Except for "Boy," which deserves a full 3 from me, I hate them. Really. Thanks to my older brother, I listened to their entire discography, at least up to Zooropa; then in '94 I moved out on my own, so I freed myself forever from Bono's (but what?) warblings.

Come on, I’ll give it a 3, I don’t want to be as hysterical as Danny ;) The album? Nothing special, aside from "Lurgee" and "Blow Out," which are good tracks.
