@Ezekiel25_17: but I'm not leaving at all, I've only expressed my astonishment in front of this desolate display of racism, ignorance, and vulgarity.

Clearly a mock review towards the dARI and also quite funny; I don't understand how one can fail to notice that they are being ridiculed. This album faces completely unwarranted harshness in the comments above: they are four kids making music, let them play for their audience and that's it. There are worse things: there are people who voluntarily lobotomize the brains of young girls with unpronounceable stuff; at least these guys are trying, at least they’re playing, and the lyrics aren’t that ridiculous (every now and then there are some nice puns, and regarding the fact that they use the same expression 14 times in one song, I'd take any Anglophone song and make a comparison). It would be 2.5 stars, but I give it 3 stars because I feel generous.

Good review and excellent choice of a beautiful title; I'd give it 4.5 stars, but the 40/40 from "Famitsu" (which back then was TRULY reliable and harsh in giving scores) convinces me that this game can indeed reach 5 stars. Unfortunately, I never finished "Vagrant Story": I started it a while ago and was amazed by the visionary artwork, the excellent graphics, and especially the stunning character design (shocking hair and costumes, like Ashley with her rear end exposed), not to mention the finesse of the combat controls and menus (the model of Ashley with the wounded areas), but I must admit it is really complex and so if the player is not very interested, they risk abandoning it after the first dungeon (and fortunately that's not my case; I want to continue as soon as I get the chance). "Vagrant Story" is a beautiful game, and if you have the time and desire to play it, you'll notice it, but the complexity and dedication required to finish it can potentially make it tedious. A note on "Famitsu": until a couple of years ago it was still reliable and sometimes gave shocking scores (40/40 to "Nintendogs"), but logical and justified (if you play "Nintendogs," you'll see), but recently I don't know how much I can trust a perfect score: are we really convinced that "428", a graphic adventure entirely written and photographed where the maximum interaction is choosing A or B, deserves a 40/40 (which the Japanese love so much, yes, but everything has its limits: YouTube video non trovatoMO2ByS0YvrI) And "Monster Hunter 3," which is nice, but 40/40??? Hmm. According to a friend of mine, they lately give high scores to what they need to promote, but it's strange because apart from these exploits, all the other games still fall between 10 and 20 points and between 20 and 30, so there is still a certain degree of objectivity because I can't believe that masterpieces come out every week, can I?

@aries: my literature teacher gifted me Pirandello's short stories and a little book by Poe that you can read on one side in English and on the other in French. I am very grateful to that woman.

My personal experience with school has been excellent, both before elementary and middle school, where I enjoyed studying and had constructive teachers who I still fondly remember today, and then in high school (Art High School) I had truly outstanding professors. I still thank heaven for this because, as mentioned in the comments above, they were able to give me the input to become interested in what was being discussed and then go on to explore it further on my own; at university, stress took over, but let's not go there, it's better. I also support the defense of teachers, a profession more difficult than it seems and above all a crucial role in a child's development, second only to that of a parent.

Four stars for the review because reviewing a pillar of world literature is already an impossible mission in itself, but at least you managed to make me understand that the work excites you and you love it so much that it changed your life (how??? You didn't explain it!); all the comments above about the un-reviewability of the work make sense, but I wouldn't be so harsh on Gasta. As for the work, obviously, there’s no need to spend any words on it.

Welcome to DeBaser! The review is very good, and congratulations on your choice of work: the belle époque was an extraordinarily rich period of innovations and clever ideas, and orphism was one of the best and most imaginative movements. The work may not deserve 5, but I really like it a lot too, so for sentimental reasons, it deserves an extra little star.

@italiandreamer: you shouldn’t get too worked up, you received this rather unflattering reception because you wrote an endless and glorifying review of an album that honestly doesn’t go beyond three stars and is already ultra-known and reviewed a good 13 times (and when you go to write a review, the disclaimer clearly warns you that duplicates, unless you have something memorably new and different to say, are not very welcome). Moreover, add to that that it’s the album of a band that is very easily subject to heavy criticism, and there you have it, negative comments flood in. P.S.: "Ciao!" is an online store where you can post your comments on the products sold; it doesn’t exactly seem to have the dignity of a music critique site, does it?

Hello Nicola, welcome to DeBaser! I have to tell you that I didn't like your first review very much, especially because you praise an average/mediocre album with aspirations of masterpiece that it certainly doesn't possess. The Dream Theater are not underestimated at all; rather, they are overrated beyond measure: their contribution to music is laughable, they are good musicians, but honestly, they don't go beyond creating already very well-known tracks and imitating much better models than their works. De gustibus.
