Nuova Compagnia Di Canto Popolare Li Sarracini Adorano Lu Sole

My mother religiously adores this LP, which she keeps with great care alongside "La gatta Cenerentola." It is indeed a good record, but I can't evaluate it with objectivity and fairness since I am very little acquainted with Neapolitan music: it is probably a fundamental work, but it will take me some time to understand it. In the meantime, "Tammurriata nera" is certainly a masterpiece; you don’t need to be a Neapolitan to get that.

@squall_leonhear: exactly, I agree with you. In Japan, it's not that they make better cartoons than Western ones (in fact, 75% are worse), it's just that they understand that animation is not just a children's thing, but a technical medium like any other, and therefore a cartoon can be auteur like a film (if not more so, given the greater expressive possibilities of drawing).

@MaTaCà: and now what does it have to do with anything?

Total masterpiece. I won’t add anything else because the review speaks for itself far better than anything I could say. Actually, yes, there is one thing to add: get the four DVDs of this anime and watch it.
Kazuo Yamazaki Lamù: The Forever

Good and intriguing review, unfortunately, I haven't seen the film. As I mentioned before, "Lamù" is the only work by Takahashi that I haven't experienced; I know all the others by heart in all their various versions, whether in print or animated: I will make up for it as soon as possible.

"In all of this, one might ask, was it really necessary?" Yes. A film powerfully necessary today as one about how Germans became Nazis and how Italians 80 years ago became fascists. We are in a reality dominated not even by ideology, but by a total lack of any value other than success (or money, if you prefer). And $i£vio is the infamous architect of it all. @Ezekiel25_17: but how the hell do you think you’re so smart and charming? Are you going to fuck off or not? I already know the answer this time too: no.

I just returned from a concert by the Korean Chamber Orchestra, this time held in Ascoli Piceno as part of the Festival settembre in musica, also directed by Michael Flaksman (how many does he conduct???). The ensemble is excellent, the late Baroque selection was fantastic, and the classical souvenirs from Mozart and Haydn (200th anniversary of his death, he died the year Mendelssohn was born) were the icing on the cake, further enriched by the presence of my favorite cellist, the delightful Jelena Ocic. A splendid evening.

Beyoncé I Am... Sasha Fierce (disc 2: Sasha Fierce)
Voto:
Review masterpiece for its coherence, clarity, and above all, the truth of what it says. As for the product (PRODUCT) in question, it is undoubtedly constructed meticulously, with 10 authors for each song and a thousand technicians taking care of everything possible to achieve a result leaning towards formal perfection; musically, the Beyoncé side is truly a state of perpetual drowsiness, and "If I Were a Boy" is the ugliest song of all time, while the Sasha Fierce side is saved because it is fun and danceable, and yes, Beyoncé lives more on physicality and image than on musical ideas, but at least they are presented very, very well. Let me explain: "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" contains very few ideas, but they are arranged so well that in the end the result is seemingly better than many other tracks with more soul but less surrounding intelligence (arrangement, effects, etc.). In conclusion, an average album.
