The Beatles A Day in the Life
Voto:
Good review for what I believe is one of the peaks of 20th-century music, and by 20th-century music I also include Debussy, Stravinsky, and all of classical music. An absolute masterpiece. I only have one note: rather than "a musical chaos never heard before," wouldn't it be better to say "a musical order"? After all, the instruments follow a precise path in parallel, they don't play randomly. It's just my impression, though.
Hayao Miyazaki Il mio vicino Totoro
Voto:
It's not my favorite Miyazaki, but I recognize its absolute iconic power.
The review is excellent and very well reasoned, which is why I’d like to make just two suggestions to further perfect it. The first: "favola" and "fiaba" are not the same thing and not synonyms either, and in this case, we are dealing with a fiaba. The second: the reviewer probably knows this, but it’s better to specify that "Grave of the Fireflies" didn't just come out in the same year; it was released alongside "My Neighbor Totoro." The two films were shown together in theaters and were viewed with a single indivisible ticket, double feature, one then the other at random: it was an experiment by Studio Ghibli that subjected viewers sometimes to despair followed by hope and sometimes to hope followed by despair. Essentially, "My Neighbor Totoro" is just part of a diptych and should be considered in that way, not as a standalone film.
The Beatles I'm the walrus
Voto:
The song is among my absolute favorites by the Beatles, and I consider it a masterpiece of absolute value. The review could also be amusing and just the right amount of psychedelic, but I refuse to give a positive evaluation to a text that doesn't even get the title of the work it talks about right: "I AM THE WALRUS," without an apostrophe.

Thank you for the recommendation, I love the Italian horror scene of the '70s and I will listen to this album as soon as possible.
Mina Singolare e plurale
Voto:
I don't think I know anyone who detests Mina: you might not love her, but it's really hard not to appreciate her. Naturally, I adore her; I've been listening to her for at least twenty years, and "bugiardo più che mai... più incosciente che mai..." is my favorite album of her discography. That said, every era of Mina has had its significance and its role as a mirror of the times, so it's difficult to evaluate individual albums since they are pieces of a journey. "Singolare e Plurale" isn’t among my favorites, but it’s enjoyable to listen to. I only have an issue with the Beatles cover because, being a fan of the Liverpool group, I find it hard to accept a cover so far removed from the original song, even though I recognize its great courage.
The Beatles Discografia completa
Voto:
Of course, I have my opinions about the individual tracks and albums, but generally speaking, I agree with everything quite a bit. Some witty remarks didn't really make me laugh, but again, that's personal taste, so it's fine. Overall, I appreciate the anthology effort undertaken by this review; if you were to write more, I would happily read them.
Claude Debussy Pelléas et Mélisande
Voto:
A passionate review of a work that has changed the history of music, yet I have never fully managed to love it even though Debussy is my favorite composer.
Morrissey Your Arsenal
Voto:
My favorite Morrissey solo album. I love ALL the songs, rotating them depending on the time I’m going through since the lyrics miraculously manage to perfectly sum up complex states of mind in just a few spot-on words. That’s just Morrissey. "We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful" is, I believe, one of the best things in the history of global pop music.
Regarding the song "The National Front Disco": the right-wing interpretation has been widely debunked on multiple occasions. The protagonist of the song is indeed David, who, feeling alone and lost because friends and family don't care about him, turns to the far-right National Front party, which is intended as a totally negative trajectory populated by misfits.
Paul McCartney Egypt Station

Album listened to. As expected, I like it, even though "New" was better (but that's not "Egypt Station"'s fault, it's just that "New" was beautiful).

Beautiful review. I haven't listened to the album yet, but I have no doubt I'll agree with the reviewer.
