Robert Zemeckis Forrest Gump

3-3 because I'm nice: both the review and the film are not bad, but neither are they good... with the added note that the film isn’t horrible, sure, but it is definitely annoying and I have never been able to understand why it received all this success, appreciation, and warmth from the audience. Oh well.
Christopher Nolan The Prestige

@Bullseye: the issue of duplicates is vague, in the sense that you can write as many as you want since no one punishes you if there’s already a review of that book/album/movie; it's simply up to the reviewer to realize for themselves whether there’s actually a need (for themselves - to express their love for a certain work - and for others - to add content) or not.
Christopher Nolan The Prestige

The review is not bad, but faced with an absolute masterpiece— and I emphasize absolute— of cinema, it should have been better. Nolan is a genius who here has given his best; those who have not yet realized it today will come to recognize it in the future, in twenty years or after his death, when looking back, one will notice that his work is perfectly comparable and aligns with that of the greatest masters of cinema.
Madonna Ray of Light
Voto:
Definitely her best work: the mood is slightly gloomy and if there had been at least one truly joyful song (and "Ray of Light" isn't joyful enough) it would have certainly benefited the overall sound balance, but even so we are at high levels. 4.5 artistic value + 0.5 for the skill with which at the time Madonna managed to fool us all by passing herself off as redeemed and chaste and pure, everyone believed it and instead it was just one of her phases: a marketing and communication genius, commendable.

CAN WE LEAVE LADY CACA OUT OF KYLIE'S REVIEWS??? I don't understand why that ridiculous, deflated clown is now considered the queen of pop when Kylie has been on the scene for over twenty years, is on her eleventh album, has produced memorable hits and top-quality pop (perhaps the highest quality pop ever made)... and now we have to compare her to that crap factory (you'll agree that "Alejandro" is the most insignificant song ever heard in living memory)??? Please. As for "Aphrodite": not Kylie's best album and in my opinion inferior to "X," but still a decent collection of nice danceable songs, among which the charming "Cupid Boy" stands out.

A really great review for a film that unfortunately I missed despite wanting to see it very much: I'll catch it on home video.

I propose a torch and pitchfork parade outside Giacobbo's house on December 22, 2012.

But for pity's sake, for pity's sake. I won't give a single star because there are even those worse than Emmerich: Michael Bay.

Welcome to DaBaser! Frankly, it’s not a great review, and the album is just as miserable (to make matters worse, there's the presence of the pathetic rapper FloRida, and the name says it all). I suggest you cultivate your tastes and improve your writing, because even with all the good will, a high rating can't really be given here: 2 as encouragement.
