I love Argento so much that I can't help but admit that this film is terrible. I'm not giving it a 1 just for the cast, which is not entirely horrible (but Silvio Muccino... =_='''), but it could be one of his worst films if not THE worst.

A small note: Betty from "le Malvestite" is a total hater. A complete hater, and haters are not rational people; their sole purpose is to hate and throw mud, and that's it. That said, no one does it better than she does, and when she finds herself facing indefensible trash like Allevi or Melissa P., she goes in hard, exposing the ridiculousness of the product like no one else could. She shines the most with Giacobbo, debunking his crazy nonsense one by one. The problem with haters, however, is that they can't stop, and that’s how they have no limits; with the same fury, they also attack deserving people like Battiato, Morgan, Baustelle, anyone, and here Betty is indefensible because she clings to nonsense (memorable in her review of Baustelle when she criticizes them for using enjambment); or when Betty dives into things she doesn't know about, like cosplay, where she spews nonsense without realizing it (or maybe she does?). In short, she should be taken with a grain of salt. In the case of Allevi, though, she is perfect; no one can spit in his face like she does.

@paolafrancesca: first of all, thank you for the respect, which I reciprocate, and know that I haven't gotten even remotely upset since we are still discussing a CD that is neither mine nor yours and that neither of us will ever buy, I mean. Briefly returning to the cover: I repeat that I not only did not pass any judgments, but I didn't even discuss the content; rather, I reported a statement of hers from which anyone can interpret what they want. In contrast, despite not knowing who the guy in my avatar is, you still feel entitled to define him as “a character from a girl’s manga that has come to life,” with an evident negative intent, and you even think it’s proof that I can be labeled “otaku,” so much so that I even review the OST of “Sailor Moon,” as if that soundtrack couldn't simply appeal to me. It’s like saying that because you have reviewed Chiho Aoshima, well then you are a lost Japanophile. Honestly, you don't know me and I don't know you, so I would say it’s foolish to label each other, and in fact I haven’t done so and I don’t intend to. But let’s move on. About Lady Gaga: I strongly despise her as a lyricist, musician, performer, model, and in every other role, and I don’t think I’ve ever complimented her, much less in this context; at best, I might have said that I appreciate (or rather, appreciated for a limited time) her stage presence, but not even that much. And even if I appreciated the visual aspect of musicians, as I have often written, that doesn't give you the right to say that I have “musical tastes dictated by [my] visual preferences”: you don't know me, I don't know you, so let's not label each other, thanks. On multiple occasions, I have stated that I respect and am a fan of visual kei, a genre where the musical part merges with the visual one, but NEVER can the visual aspect exist without the musical one, so I would never judge an artist solely by their appearance. In the case of Allevi, I find him a mediocre performer, a terrible composer, and an even worse poser since in his interviews and statements he comes out with inconceivable absurdities, and this knowledge of the character, combined with the fact that I have listened to several tracks from "Alien" on YouTube, gives me the right to justify a 1 rating. Though, the truth is, I don't really have to justify myself to anyone.

@dlf: oh, I know very well that that cover was indeed post-produced; it's him who claims otherwise. And I agree with your “I don’t see much difference between him and any piece of excrement from De Filippi.” @paolafrancesca: frankly, you’re telling us these things with the same lack of basis that you (presume we) use for Allevi. Regarding the cover: did I happen to say that he’s ugly? Actually, I didn’t even say that I don’t like the cover; I just quoted his absurd claim that there was no post-production. Meanwhile, your criticisms of my avatar are direct and precise, even though I don’t think I’ve directed any at you at all (nor have I sent you pathetic private messages to go out with you), but they are completely senseless because you don’t know him and you have no idea of the context. About your remarks towards Skeletron: but Allevi hasn’t legitimized any good music at all. I don’t belong to any cultural elite, I don’t frequent the local club, nor the Rotary Club or any other elite associations, yet I listen to so-called classical music (that terminology is indeed from the common folk). And look at me, I’m so confused that I even go to review a soundtrack of "Sailor Moon", maybe because I don’t focus on the cover, but I exclusively evaluate the musical quality... strange, because you’re exactly the one who accuses based solely on the cover and who judges Allevi just because he is Allevi. Well.

@voiceface: Rihanna is pathetic, but at least she doesn’t claim to be a revolutionary musician nor does she compare herself to Mozart. He does.

@dlf: for your joy, I will tell you that my lovely fellow townsman (I'm from Ascoli, help) declared in a lively interview that this cover has not undergone post-production, that it's all a play of lights and that there's no trace of computer effects, all true, all genuine, and he was even proud of it. Let's realize that.

I will be completely honest: I give this review a 5 because it is perfect and deserves every bit of it, and I would have given it even if I harbored a total and absolute disdain towards this character (and I emphasize character). As for the content of the CD, I would skip over it, for the love of God.

She is a YES foleba, but the album I really think is a resounding NO right from the cover, which looks like a poor and sad piece from the late '90s, with that font it resembles an Ambra cover but uglier: I mean, you have billions, right? So hire some decent graphic designers for goodness' sake. It makes you lose the desire to listen to it (and okay) and even to look at her (and that's serious given the more than ample raw material).

The film needs no further comments; it is famously brilliant, and this simple, clear, and very good review explains it clearly.
