Congratulations on the review and for the choice of the album, which I know in its original version and now I want to listen to in this new corrected version as well.

Great review, and I give the film 4 instead of 5 just because Hitchcock has managed to do even better than this film, which is already rich in details, ideas, cinema.

The review isn't bad, but it doesn't adequately convey this work, which is likely among the 10 most important things ever created by humanity in its brief history; these are your impressions, and indeed, that's fair enough.

@federock: look, "The Third Mother" is bad, but in my opinion it has several noteworthy moments. This, on the other hand, is really something to be thrown away completely.

Hooray! :D I don't know this specific CD, but the Purcell Quartet does, and I know they're good, so knowing the music and the performers, I'll take a leap of faith and give it a rating.

@Alexander77: but in fact don't worry, there was no hint of controversy/irritation in my message. ;) Regarding the mentioned artists, everyone should observe their work and form their own opinion.

@paolafrancesca: "You cannot love Bozzetto and love Sailor Moon. Or rather, you can if you lack critical spirit. Why? Because Sailor Moon is consumerism. It's entertainment designed to fill the spaces between one commercial and another. Bozzetto is art." And after this latest, resounding statement of yours, the conversation fades, beyond my control, due to the other person's inability to have a neutral view of their interlocutor, that is, me, and not understanding that I have no reason to tell you lies. Maybe not everyone is like you; perhaps there are those who can appreciate the motivations behind a certain work and therefore can value two completely different works because they see a (different) value in both. Keep thinking that I am and that I do; you have every right to do so: enjoy your monologue. Thank you and see you next time.

@paolafrancesca: But I don't know what you studied, so I don't know what you know and don't know. Anyway, skipping over your remarks about the Japanese (we're on the edge of discrimination), about superflat and "Sailor Moon" (topics I'd prefer not to revisit, let's forget about them): «try to understand that just because a product is made in Japan doesn't necessarily mean it's valid»... BUT WHEN DID I EVER SAY THAT??? Why are you writing this to me??? If (and I say if) you might be interested, I believe that the best animated film of all time, and not just animated, is "Fantasia". I have absolute admiration for Eyvind Earle, I love Michel Ocelot, I collect Bozzetto's films... you don't know me, is it that hard to understand? You get so outraged that we label Allevi negatively, but how easy it is for you to label others, huh?

@paolafrancesca: yes, I watch cartoons because I believe animation is not a genre, but just a filmmaking technique that can encompass all the genres that live action does. If there's a good film and it's animated, I don't see why I should downgrade it to mere little figures when there’s probably been just as much, if not more, work behind it than what would have been required for a live-action film. Have you ever seen the films of Satoshi Kon? Do you know what "Fantasia" truly is and represents? Are you familiar with the gestalt phases in character design? I don't expect everyone to love cartoons, but I do expect their value or at least the work required to create them not to be belittled. Respect. The existence of obscene cartoons like "Winx Club" or "Beyblade" doesn’t mean that there aren't equally quality ones. I refuse to be called an otaku just because I might be interested in a cartoon: in Japan, "Neon Genesis Evangelion" sparked discussions in serious magazines and in university lecture halls; are they all otaku? Know that in their context the word has an extremely offensive connotation and people stay far away from it. I refuse to be called biased against Allevi, I refuse to label people based on knowing only an infinitesimal fraction of their lives, I refuse to do to others what I don’t want done to me. Even if I were an otaku, how do you know that OST wasn’t passed to me by someone else? Chiho Aoshima is famous: well, Sailor Moon isn't, it's just impossible not to run into it. Let’s try another conversation format: “Oh, but you reviewed the OST of 'Sailor Moon'! Are you a fan?” and I’d say, “Yes, for a long time; it has several very original elements in its genre.” There, imhhho this would have been a much better conversation.

@geenoo: Why does Allevi deserve an analytical listen? If something is beautiful, it hits you even in passing. In any case, YouTube offers stereo sound and I listened to the tracks with headphones, so it’s as if I listened to them straight from a CD. My judgment would have been biased if I hadn't listened to the album at all; however, look, I’ve listened to 8 out of 11 tracks, and some of these in both the album and live versions (this is what you call being hard on oneself), so I feel perfectly justified in expressing my opinion without being biased at all. By the way, I remember that the best way to despise someone is to know them well, so to say that I don’t like Allevi, I MUST know him. I hate when people call me biased; I AM NOT, thank you. @Alexander77: "hater" means "someone who hates" and does not mean "misanthrope," but rather "a user who attacks a certain subject with deliberate malice" and usually does not accept any viewpoint other than their own; it’s a term that has been on the Internet for several years now; I didn’t invent it. Then: the "deserving people" clearly refers to my point of view, and from my perspective, Morgan, Battiato, and Baustelle are definitely more deserving than many others. Shall we say that Battiato is undeserving? Perhaps he is on a downward slope, but has he produced nothing good in the past? Come on, let's be honest, I certainly don’t need to defend them. Final note: I don’t understand why all the other debasers can throw down scores of 5-1 and sharp judgments without needing to justify themselves while every time I speak, I have to clarify every word. Well, maybe I don’t speak clearly enough; I don’t know.
