The Beatles Abbey Road

You can't believe it. The arrogance of this "reviewer" (?) is such that I never thought I would read sentences like "I understand guitars and drums for the music I listen to more than anyone else." Simply mind-blowing.

But above all, today I've learned a new dazzling way to insult: by adding "-gay" to the name.

@19Lunghezze: "everyone on the site tells you the same thing and rates it 1," but really, aside from your 1, all the other votes are just 4 or 5, with a fixed 5 for the reviewed work, by the way. Clearly, we are all fools. Anyway, I just wanted to remind you that under their "su" in the top left of DeBaser, there’s the phrase "Recensioni scritte da chi vuole," which is the FIRST rule of this site, even before tastes, styles, methods, and any other issue: whoever wants can write a review, they don’t need permission to do so, nor is criticism a reason to stop writing.

I was about to comment something like that the times on DeBaser were ripe for the review I've been dreaming of writing since I signed up, namely about "Fantasia," but then I just stuck to those seven little words. And I did well because, as I see, it is still not quite so.

Excellent, and I have nothing more to say.
Kylie Minogue Body Language

@Donzia81: for "Body Language" I wouldn't know, but I can respond regarding "X." The album was in the works for a long time (you know that Kylie had breast cancer, so it took some time for her to recover), and in the meantime, fans began referring to this new record by the name of the unknown, and various forums and websites referred to it as "X." When the album was finally ready, it was called "X" both to pay tribute to the loyal fans and because it is Minogue's tenth album.

@fosca: not that I generally believe in other people's opinions, but in the specific field of cinema, there are a few critics I trust implicitly, not out of sympathy or anything like that, but much more simply because, over the years, comparing my impressions with theirs (which I obviously read after watching a film, otherwise I would be influenced), 95% of the time they have been in perfect sync. In this case, they have negatively described this poor film, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve to be seen.

Oh my God, the vote, pardon.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen it and I would like to see it for Tilda Swinton, an actress I hold in immense esteem, but I am held back by two contingencies that are quite significant for me: the director is the same as "Melissa P." (which, regardless of the plot, was truly a big piece of crap), and all, but really all, the film critics I trust and agree with have unanimously described it as a very beautiful film to watch, but decidedly affected, constructed, fake, snobbish, pretentious, and more along those lines. In any case, I want to see it; maybe I will like it a lot, who can tell?

I have never hidden, nor will I ever hide, that I am a huge fan of Kylie Minogue, easily my favorite Western pop star. I completely agree with the introduction; I think exactly the same way, and I agree with about 75% of the rest of the review, in the sense that it's all true, but perhaps a bit too generous towards the album: it's true that "Fever" was more cohesive while this one attempts more varied paths, but in terms of quality, the former had more substance. Here, besides the beautiful singles and a few other gems (like "Sweet Music"), the rest, in my opinion, feels like somewhat anonymous filler. This issue of anonymous fillers mixed with exceptional singles, by the way, is a problem that Kylie has always dealt with, and she only overcame it in "X," as she fell back into it with "Aphrodite."
