Walt Disney The Spirit Of '43

Well, I've read the review in full and I appreciated it. The question is: how much do the powerful and influential forces of politics affect the work of an artist? How fascist was Pirandello, who, despite not expatriating and actively signing Gentile's manifesto (for his own gain?), expressed in his dramas some of the most anti-fascist sentiments? The concept is, in my opinion, that in times of war, some so-called "mistakes" are forgivable: I don’t mean acts of violence, but rather the positions taken by artists and intellectuals forced by circumstances, who then, perhaps, demonstrate very different values in their works, if not outright opposed to those demanded by the political shadow. We could give a thousand examples, but returning to Disney, even though there is a manipulative glorification of weaponry in this particular short, I believe it is evident to everyone that usually his cartoons express positive values of peace, solidarity, and the communion of peoples (even with the much-hated Mexicans!) which are not exactly Republican or warmongering ideas. Now, having said that, it is clear that even in Disney cartoons one finds the American way of life, but that is another story that pertains to living in the States in general.

Thank goodness Fini has reneged and taken back 75% of what he did and said during his worst period. La Russa hasn't.

But reviewing the plot of this book is actually very easy precisely because, apart from the ending, everything else is a mini-plot (the Triwizard Tournament) completely separate from the main story. In my opinion, the entire Harry Potter saga deserves a full 5 stars, but the individual books have different and relative values: here, for example, Rowling needed to focus on other events that are not part of the overarching plot, and so we have hundreds of pages filled with an action story, which is also very beautiful and treated with a fairytale tone, serving as a pretext to introduce some characters, events, and objects that she will then need for the upcoming books.

I hope it's all a joke. I'm afraid it might all be true.

Already at the time (I was there) his music was considered obscene and he a charlatan. Time has not improved the situation.

@enbar77: but don't worry, the conclusion didn't disturb me at all, rather it provides information as you say. Simply put, you maintained a register I'd dare to call "poetic" throughout the initial part, and then in the conclusion, you changed the tone, ultimately ending with a joke. It was just the tone that felt dissonant, not the content. ;)

But why did you have to ruin such a beautiful, even moving review with that ending? é_è It's a bit of a far-fetched statement, but above all, it takes us away from the subject, which is this stunning photograph.
