@ holdsworth about Dream Theater: but I really don't think so, I find them absolutely, really absolutely disgusting.

I also think this album is stunning. It's never particularly well spoken of because it has a bulky ancestor with which it is regularly compared, but I find that there is a "rock" energy in it (probably due to the various problems the band was going through, as you pointed out) that in their other works gives way to a more general melancholy that isn’t always perfectly in focus.

Gabriella Cilmi Lessons To Be Learned

The worst part is that Gabriella Cilmi is actually a beautiful girl and a decent singer: why did you pick on her???

@ icnarF: as in the rest of the world, there are interesting things and pathetic ones in Japanese music as well. In my opinion, these Plastic Tree are worth a try: music videos for the singles "Chiriyuku Bokura" (https://www.debaser.it/main/Video.aspx?y=0m6kNxKPCiE) and "Aoi Tori" (https://www.debaser.it/main/Video.aspx?y=pzArC6FgeIM).

Ah, you haven't even listened to the whole album, just two or three songs? And they are better than the entire production of Joplin and Mozart combined? Well, if until now I thought there might be the slightest chance that you truly believe what you write, now I know for sure that you're a fake (or as L would say: there's a 100% chance you're a fake).

But who on earth are Vucinic and Strakowski??? Random names?? Can you also give us names and works, please? Anyway: even if, and I say IF Gabriella Cilmi were truly the greatest musician of all time and all places, how can you declare that after listening to only 14 tracks??? How can you say that she surpasses figures who have been historicized over decades and centuries??? For example: "Back to Black" was and still is a huge success by Amy Winehouse, praised by everyone, yet I doubt any critic has dethroned Janis Joplin or Mozart!!! Okay, I'm glad you really like the lovely Cilmi, but don't you think you might be exaggerating a bit?

Last example, then we can go in peace! ;) This is "Blue Star," the new single by Vidoll: Yes, they're the same band from the videos above. No, they haven't converted to pop; they just change often. Do they sound like Lacuna Coil?

@ psychopompe: no, of course X JAPAN don’t have to be liked by everyone! :) I find them quite awful, for instance, but in Japan they are objectively super famous, that’s all. No one is obliged to follow them. @ ajejebrazorf: no no, "visual" is really the English word. The Japanese mix their language with others, especially English. Ah, and if there’s one genre I can’t stand, it’s German metal (all of it), and if there’s one band I can’t stand, it’s Lacuna Coil... I don’t see any resemblance to Vidoll! Maybe in tone, but melodically and harmonically it’s completely different (personal opinion, of course).
