Interesting book with interesting ideas and a certain dose of originality (even if directly derived from the old-but-still-relevant story of Jesus vs. Satan).

Horrible review beyond all words (it's really interesting that you went to defecate, for example), album of extraordinary expressive power.

I quote comment 4 from popoloitaliano and 43 from benzo24: the first because "minor art" I don't know what it means, and anyway it should not be said a priori, but for obvious scientific reasons only a posteriori; the second because the trendy couple + nerd found its origin in Jane Birkin + Serge Gainsbourg and its maximum realization in Pizzicato Five (Mani Nomiya + Yasuharu Konishi), whom Il Genio fully draws inspiration from; I also recommend listening more and writing less. Il Genio are not my favorite group, but they have a certain musical culture that is currently just avant-garde citation, but over time could become an important international reality like, for example, Nicola Conte has become.

Really good review and... don't worry, saying that "Avanzi" was extraordinary isn't being biased, it's just being honest. Indeed, these were times when politics wasn't so despotic with the media and there was more freedom of expression (or at least there was infinitely more compared to today). As for saying they were "the good old days," well, in retrospect, everything was the good old days: even in the early '90s there were many problems, but as far as TV goes, objectively, RAI was a step ahead of anyone and Media$et was more pathetic than ever... no, sorry, Media$et will reach its peak of patheticness tomorrow (and so on infinitely). About Ricci: worst clown in the history of Italian television, even worse than Maria De Filippi, and the putative and actual father of trash (but not cult trash; I mean real trash).

"There is no doubt that the multifaceted Iva - also known as Aquila di Ligonchio from her remote hometown - has ridden the tiger of the boom, the post-boom, the reflux, and the advent of the Second Republic with vigorous autonomy and enviable awareness"... but who are you, the one who wrote Mussolini's speeches???

It's you who has to make me change; I'm just here watching. I'm not "one of them," whatever that means (that is, nothing).
The Cure 4:13 Dream

Great review, album not yet listened to (but I think I'll buy it by the end of the week). I am a huge fan of The Cure, and perhaps this love of mine clouds my ears, making even their worst albums seem pleasant and decent ("Bloodflowers" isn't exactly fantastic, but I enjoy it nonetheless). That said, I admit that the trajectory of The Cure, while not necessarily in decline, is at least at a standstill, because in every album there are always some good things (even very good ones, sometimes excellent) mixed in with a thousand others that feel like high-quality filler, but filler nonetheless. I want to trust this hopeful review and believe that it’s a good album! I couldn’t make it to the concert in Rome and I'm still in despair over it, but I will try to make it up as soon as possible, and in the meantime, I eagerly await the dark side.

I wholeheartedly agree with the cosmic wisdom of Carl Marx. He is absolutely right: it may be music for teenage girls, but for its target audience, it is well made and much more decent than other offerings. Let’s try to be objective and broaden the perspective a bit.
