@fedeee: I completely agree. Half stars are essential; it would be great to have them. As for the references: theoretically (theoretically) I strive to consider as maximum opposites for music Marco Cartaigienica and "The Art of Fugue" by Bach, for films "Transformers" by Michael Bay and "La dolce vita" by Fellini, and so on, but you realize by yourself that this method can only work up to a certain point (especially since you could never give 5 stars again, for example)! ;)

@Moscow-Reggio: Pixar has only disappointed me so far with "Cars" (one bad and all the others beautiful), while Dreamworks has only convinced me with "The Prince of Egypt" (one good and all the others really bad). I would say the comparison is striking! ;) I'm also waiting with anxious and asthmatic anticipation for "Up"!

I mostly agree with the reviewer. Mediocre film: little inventiveness, almost no innovation, zero brilliant flashes. "Kung Fu Panda," which was actually worse than this film, at least had fight scenes that allowed the animators to showcase exceptional computer graphics; here, not even that. The only decent films from Dreamworks have been "The Prince of Egypt" and "The Road to El Dorado"; everything else (including the detestable "Shrek") is purely a manifestation of (very bland) technique and nothing more. I’m waiting patiently for the Dreamworks screenwriters to make a minimal effort at innovation since 2000, but I'm losing my famously proverbial patience.

Congratulations, congratulations and more congratulations for the recommendation: "Pk" was a GREAT comic. I almost completely agree with your beautiful review (especially when you talk about the corner of genius post). A fantastic work that intelligently revitalizes a character who transitions from the protagonist of funny comedies to a dark sci-fi superhero. Personally, I find the first series fantastic, the second a bit confusing, and the third a mess, and yes, Uno is an absolutely GENIUS sidekick. I loved the definition of classic Duckburg as a "cheerful suburb of row houses"!!! XD * = oh dear, cptgaio is absolutely right and I'm not entirely in agreement with the first paragraph either: Disney stories are based on a precise system of ethical, narrative, and graphic values, and fitting into that is already a limit and a challenge, so managing to write so many stories with such a high level of quality for decades is, NOT, absolutely not a simple task. Some of the most beautiful things produced by Italian comics are found within "Topolino". Today, the magazine has lowered its target audience and dropped a bit in level, but thank heaven those old and incredibly skilled authors who shaped my childhood are still working on it (tear).

@giustiziere and fedeee: thank you. Usually, I tend to be a bit stingy with ratings because I think in terms of references (it's not necessarily the best method; perhaps voting spontaneously is actually more accurate). For example: I gave a 4 instead of a 5 to this work, despite it being by my favorite artist and this piece being stunning, because there are better ones (his own works later on, for instance), so if I had given a 5 to this, what would I have had to give? 7? to the "Bottle Scull" and 12 to his latest installation, "Data: 1st the waterfall 2nd the gas lighting." Same story for the reviews. I think that way.

@casamorte: remove that maybe, Italian is really the most beautiful language in the world. It may be unsuitable in certain contexts, but in general, it's flexible beyond all limits, it's extremely rich, it lends itself wonderfully to wordplay, it's crystal clear and hardly open to misinterpretation (or very much so if you want), it’s read as it is written aside from the digraph "gn" and many other things. It can't get better than this.

Ciccio Valenti makes me reconsider that perhaps the death penalty isn't so wrong, in certain cases. A boring and utterly useless show except for a very limited target audience; everyone else watches it out of boredom and because there's nothing else on at that hour.

Good review, fundamental text for Burton's poetics (and honestly, I appreciated the translation as well, although it obviously and necessarily betrayed the original). When Burton was still a true genius and visionary, not just in the marketing phrases of his latest slovenly, mannered films.

Good review, basic comic.
