Admit it, you’re doing it on purpose against me :D First, you write to me about the Reverend and you pick a minor album, now you dive into the great Harry Nilsson (whom I love dearly) and you choose a minor album again.

It's an excellent film for how it addresses good, the protagonists are outstanding. It's practically just a raw image, a choice made wisely and courageously.

I can't stand the no-comment from Iside (quoque tu?). Not for anything else, but at least we who live and dwell in Brescia must always reflect. We cannot shield ourselves behind a no-comment when the "political" memory of this city is in the hands of a character named Andrea Arcai, a person who on May 28, 1974, was a human and political friend of those who planted the bomb. We cannot do it when so many high schools lack teachers and principals who always intend to treat May 28 as just another day, as if the stele with those 8 names didn’t exist. We cannot do it when there are courageous foundations of great cultural stature (like the one named after Clem) ostracized by this city. At this rate, in ten years, there will be no more monuments, no more streets named after it, no more ceremonies. P.S. Hearing the original audio after thirty years in the silence of Piazza Loggia gives you chills. It’s an emotion I recommend to everyone because in Italy it’s unique during the years of lead; there are no other recordings of the other bombs so clear.

I didn't expect so many comments, thank you all. I didn't anticipate this, especially since it's not Avati's first film and he's certainly not the sentimental director of today. We're halfway through; he's an already experienced director, aware of his means. Capable, even with not much, of bringing out material of a sure level @S4Doll, which is far from just a movie about poker. Gambling is a wonderful pretext, even to heighten the tension. Certainly, Avati, for the sake of the story, had to incorporate a whole series of professional elements (he had the advice of a professional player who had to explain to him especially how certain cheats can happen) @Lewis; a film review needs all these things. For this reason, one often forgets the stylistic aspect. The fact that a director must always have clear the shots they make, the type of cinematography, and how they want the actors to perform. A good film is, first and foremost, a team effort and a director is needed for that; otherwise, anyone with a steady hand who knows how to use a camera would suffice. Moreover, I followed the same path as you in reverse; after watching the second one, I went back to @Pataweb and Fsk, I see two fives. I confess it wasn't easy to vote and it could also be a film deserving the highest rating.

Beautiful them, truly great

I trust your judgment; I’m familiar with the two pieces you posted (in the sense that I've heard them several times, but I knew it was them, you see).

If Kosmo speaks highly of them, it’s no coincidence; there must be quality in these gentlemen. So I start searching and thank you for the review.

Don't worry, if they arrive on Italian soil, I'll be the first to know it (and also to set up a Meeting).

I have known the Van Cleef Continental for some time now, aside from the Dead Meadow concert. I've never liked them, but together with the Kaufman, they hold the top position in the city's musical pride, so it becomes impossible to speak ill of them.
