I also leave my double comment.. a virus ;) @Zaireeka, unfortunately I'm not from Genoa, but I made that 350 km trip to go there, see the concert, and make the necessary ethyl-De André pilgrimage!

@ANDY66: yes, I partially agree with what you’re saying. At first listen, I also thought about this forced metric. Then, with subsequent listens, everything seems to “fluidify” and flow delightfully from start to finish (and considering the album's duration, that's saying something). I must say I'm still very much influenced by the concert I saw in Genoa on the 27th, which filled me with awe and wonder. In short, as you rightly say, the idea can still change. Let's touch base when this euphoria from the album release and the simultaneous concert settles… almost too much in such a short time!

Not to be nostalgic, but until recently, records like this would have certainly faced criticism, albeit with arguments and perhaps sparking a constructive discussion. Now it seems that there is more disdain, mostly out of fear of engaging with a work that demands effort, curiosity, and commitment. People are certainly not accustomed to these kinds of works and refuse to understand that creating an inspired album steeped in literature like this has nothing to do with cheap intellectualism; it means taking risks, putting oneself out there, intriguing people, and building a bridge that extends beyond this work. Capossela is someone who takes risks, something that even the great singer-songwriters, who could afford to take risks, no longer do. Here, there is art in abundance, driven by an overwhelming and uncontrollable urge to express oneself... blessed be this album!
Patrizia Laquidara e Hotel Rif Il canto dell'anguana

I would never have thought that the Vicentine dialect could reach such heights of sweetness, sensuality, and refinement. Listening to this album, I had to change my mind: Laquidara's voice could be compared to that of a clarinet, and the beautiful arrangements, mixed from various genres of folk music, magically manage to extend this work well beyond Vicenza, Veneto, Italy... This is the immense power of music... great album!
Paolo Conte Parole d'amore scritte a macchina

An engaging invitation to listen to an album that I have not yet fully heard, although I know almost all the tracks, as they are scattered among the various wonderful live performances of Conte.

Great piece of writing, I agree that it's wonderful to read on Debaser especially the personal impressions evoked by an album and not (just) its promotional description. De Andrè.. always infinitely grateful!

Congratulations, it's another Fossati compared to the post "Pianta del tè" period, but I believe it's still worth getting to know.
