Great neo-prog album, perhaps their best, although the previous ones The World and Window Of Life are fully up to par; however, I don't agree that inspiration will return with Pure. Not Of This World seems like a somewhat underestimated album to me, which although shows a slight decline in ideas, still has beautiful atmospheres; Believe, on the other hand, is an excellent album in which the band has successfully managed to renew their sound!

Great album, very varied in influences and at times brilliant in the sounds used! Personally, I wouldn’t exactly define it as prog-metal, given that the heavy outbursts are quite sporadic and not continuous, but nonetheless the band has all the presuppositions for a great future!

Great progressive rock band, I prefer some later works to this one but from the very beginning they showed that they are truly an excellent band, one that stands tall alongside the classics, one of the best in the modern scene, literally worn out in the summer of 2008!

I really like this album; okay, it may not be the Genesis of their golden years, but it’s a great album that is catchy in its forms and refined in its atmospheres (great work by Banks). What probably makes it criticized by old fans... is the fact that it was released under the name Genesis! First, because only two members of the original lineup remained (Banks and Rutherford, Collins wasn't even there anymore), and second, because one expects something quite different from a release with such a name. In my opinion, if it were released under another name, it would have been evaluated differently.

what the fuck kind of joke is that???

In my opinion, many who comment on my reviews haven’t even listened to the albums in question!

Anyway, it’s true, as The Decline says, that there are strong influences coming from a certain Awake, but the fact that they exist doesn’t mean the album can’t be good. I certainly didn’t say that the band is innovative, but that they know how to play progressive metal with truly excellent power and with clear and crystalline melodies like very few other bands. That’s why I say they deserve more attention.

no, but not really!

Finally, someone has noticed them!!! Great band, but not prog-metal; if anything, you could call it hard-prog, given that there are frequent heavy outbursts but still closer to classic symphonic prog!

Anyway, worth a listen; a review of their new album wouldn’t be a bad idea!

the phrase meant... I'll ignore the criticism!

In my opinion, this guy listens to Justin Bieber but doesn't want to admit it!!! Is it possible that no one has thought of that?

And there's also another blasphemy: the use of the term "pianola," which further demonstrates the supposed reviewer's ignorance of music! (keyboardists, organize a crusade)

In any case, I think that if one doesn't understand it and can't feel emotions from prog-metal, it's better not to judge it!
