As ignorant as the Trota when it comes to cinema... I enjoyed it, and strangely enough, I NEVER closed my eyelids!!! The curiosity of seeing how the fate of those two kids would unfold kept me pretty glued to the screen!

Great albums and a great band, also known for their significant works in the following years, especially Ever and Subterranea, they have astonishingly managed to reinvent themselves and surpass their previous achievements with the latest double album The Road of Bones.

Let’s say that Threshold have always been a bit of the same old story since 1997, although there are always some surprises to be found. In any case, they remain a unique band in their style, to the point that they can afford to follow the same path without ever becoming tedious. The most "particular" tracks are definitely Autumn Red and Siren Sky.

Just for the record... my review was submitted when mementomori's wasn't online yet, and shortly after, mementomori's was published; a coincidence that I don't know how often occurs...

Just think, yesterday I sent my thoughts about this album convinced I was the first... you beat me to it by a hair! You did a great job! ;) (I realized I was ahead of the game seeing that the album was already listed in the database) But of course, who cares how many people write about it or who did it first, what matters is to put passion into it! Anyway, I have to admit you were much more thorough and passionate than I was; you perfectly described every detail without getting too caught up in yourself and without being verbose! ;) You deserve recognition!

Absolutely listenable, in the end it’s a fusion with classical music that fits quite well, although it's not very focused... however, the band could have easily disbanded after Brain Salad Surgery! A band that said everything it needed to in the first 3-4 years of its existence!

In any case, I hope that the final part of the album is the beginning of a new chapter!

Well done... I'm waiting for your thoughts on Coldplay (I hope you read mine); I wouldn't mind your analysis on it! :)

Well, anyway there's very little metal here to be honest! A partial hardening of the sound can perhaps be found with Test of Wills, but in Magellan, metal was just one of the various influences that characterized the project, never an element present too much. Therefore, I think it's more appropriate to label them as progressive rock, at most hard prog as suggested by progarchives.

A project often underestimated is that of the Gardner brothers, an eclectic, often unpredictable, and sometimes atypical prog band filled with surprising insights. I didn't know that Wayne Gardner had committed suicide; what a shame, because they were a great band, not the usual canonical prog that gets boring after a while!
