Truly a masterpiece, the best solo work from the good Neal, I don't think he will manage to do better! Tracks excellently composed and a great alternation between the more classic and symphonic moments and the more technical ones. The first two tracks are astonishing! Beautiful also "the conclusion" with its very symphonic approach!

Exceptional album that has nothing to envy from its predecessor!

One of the most pungent and microbe-ridden musical trash of an increasingly drifting musical radio landscape! Proud to listen to prog-rock!!! That’s where you really get a 360° concept of music! But in commercial music... -273.15°!

Once again, Wilson has hit the mark. Here, amidst the metal-oriented sounds of the latest albums, the acoustic sections, and the more psychedelic and experimental parts, another great album has been born! However, the best remains In Absentia, and the pairing with Lightbulb Sun remains formidable!

As for originality... let no one forget Sieges Even! An absolutely unique band that I would say is little imitated!

For once, Manalishi said something right!!!

No, you’re mistaken, in the second one there were 300; wait, I'm about to review the second one as well, it's unavoidable to do it!!!

perhaps the most underrated of the band, I hardly ever hear it mentioned!!! yet it’s a great album of psychedelic space rock.

I just wanted to clarify one thing: SPOCK'S BEARD do not play NEOPROGRESSIVE nor do the Flower Kings. In fact, they represent the very essence of old-school prog: both in terms of technical and dynamic aspects, which are not particularly highlighted in neo-prog, and in terms of instrumentation (they perfectly use hammond, mellotron, and synth like the old prog bands, while neo-prog bands mainly use regular keyboards). Moreover, they don't have that catchy and atmospheric approach typical of neo-prog, characterized by pompous atmospheres and almost pop-rock melodies (yes, maybe SB do have this to some extent, but that doesn't mean anything).

So to conclude, Spock's Beard are a great band but not neo-prog, I'm saying this after listening to IQ and Pendragon!
