If those two SE albums you had were indeed the last two, then this is YOUR FAULT!

Anyway, you’re right, in Sieges Even the absence of keyboards was an element of originality!

The album is enjoyable; I listen to it with pleasure, like pretty much all the albums of this multifaceted band. I really appreciate songs like Dreamline, Roll The Bones, Where's My Thing, Heresy...

Personally, I prefer its predecessor "presto," which is equally catchy but more refined in its atmospheres.

However, it must be acknowledged that the masterpieces of Rush are others!

A pretty smart album, but true prog-metal will come with Dream Theater!

In fact, I was referring to those who listen, not to those who play, because not playing myself, I can't say what is easier to play or not!

I wasn't talking about the lyrics... I was referring to the fact that practically only Marillion have managed to achieve a commercially successful sound, while other bands, when they tried, didn't obtain what they hoped for.

I haven't listened to it much, but for some reason this album, at least for the moment, doesn’t make me shout... To me, it seems a bit cold; I find it a bit too straightforward for my tastes. Here we have the guitarist Tore Ostby, but personally, I preferred Conception, which in my opinion were more refined in terms of melodies, and there was more order in what they did... I hope they come back one day.
But hey, I gave it four stars, which isn't bad, right?

I don’t know, I’ve never heard them; well, to be honest, my cousin once put Sonic Youth in the car and I have to say they were pretty boring and repetitive, then with all those noises in between... okay it may be a style but they didn’t impress me...

And anyway, to counter: I would like to point out that if I didn't give a 5 it's because I prefer something artistically superior, but I gave a 4!!! which is not just any rating!

And anyway, I don’t know why, because, as I’ve already told you, progressive is the most complete and varied genre for me, and it’s the only one where I can find that sense of artistry that one seeks in music, which can only be found in genres like jazz and classical (which I don’t listen to), and the only one where I can collect entire discographies... in the rest of rock... I lean more towards individual tracks...

My 5s for many progressive albums lean more towards personal taste than objectivity, yet I can still recognize what a band has done better and what its weaker points are, partly by considering the opinions of others and partly through my own reflections.

I don't remember what it contains anyway, and I care little because I'm for the album in its original version. For me, special editions, bonus tracks, bonus discs, are just extra things created for commercial purposes... I'm the one who, after finishing the download of a band's studio discography from e-mule, cleans out bonus tracks and added stuff to listen to the album just as it is presented in its "regular edition."
