I quote Bartle... both on the album and on the review.

I believe that the writing truly reflects the bitterness of those who sadly find themselves battling against windmills in today's reality, but Bartleboom is also right. Some things, no matter how well expressed, should just be left unsaid. It is undoubtedly the best move. We have reached the point where even venting is counterproductive... do you realize how terrible that is???

What you wrote is painfully true. The ugly thing is that no matter how much we talk about it, the things "out there" don’t change… I don’t ever want the album in question to come close to my eardrums, the character is ridiculous, and the cover is one of the most hateful things that the incompetent people behind this business could have put together. These individuals certainly have never listened to real music; otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense how they don’t feel ashamed of existing. I personally am not a musician, but I couldn’t live without music, especially in its progressive expressions (already mentioned by the good BeatBoy) both from yesterday and today, so I truly cannot fathom how one can reach such depths of emptiness. But as they say, there’s never an end to the worst… even though I’m kind of fed up with this continuous vertical collapse.

Yes, the voice is warm and deep and may remind you of John, but perhaps mentioning the name of the poor wretch it belongs to, namely Arch Stanton, would have been nice. Anyway, David on this record is surrounded by excellent musicians (Mick Paul on bass, Paul Clark on guitar, and Lloyd on drums. The first two also present on Exiles from '97, an album that featured John Wetton, but also Robert Fripp and Peter Hammill), but despite this, it doesn't come out as a masterpiece. It seems to me more like a very accessible work, maybe a bit repetitive, but still dignified.

I know him too and I have, like Lewis, the self-titled album.. but it’s not my kind of music.. He is certainly very talented, but I don't have an ear for this music and I'm certainly not able to judge it..

Not a bad choice.. but I really can't figure out how the genres mentioned in the review would relate to the album.. oh well..

@Barbanera: Yes, well... I didn’t expect many comments since the album discussed is practically unknown here. I at least hope someone read the review and got closer to the band, which, despite having released only a few records, has so much to offer.

What style, what atmosphere, what class, what elegance! Do I need to add more?

Great Jargon, I see we agree. I wonder if a third album will ever come out.. on their official website I've seen many solo projects, unfortunately the availability is practically none.. unless you take a trip to Japan, but I'm busy this afternoon. Who knows, maybe tomorrow.. (^_^)
