Essential work for true lovers of jazz-prog. Essential but thorough review.

But enough with the chatter, thanks to the commentators.. @ Bob: I understand your point of view; I needed a lot of time to really appreciate it... In this case, the album is more than just beautiful; it's an interesting attempt to take the yessound and shape it according to one's own style.. it's this cocktail that I consider noteworthy compared to others that have succeeded muuuuch worse.. regarding the fact that it's not an exceptional work, we absolutely agree.

But... what to say... I already find it annoying when people write entirely in capital letters in forums in general... then if it's done to scream their discontent (likely existential) in a place that, by the way, one can perfectly avoid entering if they don't want to, it leaves me personally speechless. However, if I write in such a horrible and revolting way, I welcome advice, especially from those who are so superior that they can judge and despise with such arrogance things they have never even heard of. Congratulations. I kneel before such divine abilities.

Good job, Doc! I’m not a big fan of overly guitar-centric music, and I care even less for compilations, but maybe I should give it a listen...

I understand, thank you Ole, I was curious. You mentioned some sacred monsters indeed... I thought you hadn't replied because you were tired of the topic.. :p Anyway, it seems clear to me that when we talk about "minor" prog we mean overshadowed by the main scene, not lacking in quality; is there anyone who hasn't understood this?

Jake, I'm just dropping by to say hello, since I don't think I know the album, but from the way you write about it, it seems like I'm really missing out on something... Maybe one day I'll fill that gap.. Bye!

A review that flows as smoothly as a glass of water on a record that, considering its release year, definitely deserves to be rediscovered. @Dr. Fottermeier: Are you planning to review Strawberry? In fact, a little something about Incense and Peppermints or, why not, even about The World In A Seashell would really be in order here on Deb...

Sorry Ole for bothering you today, but at this point, I’m curious. Could you give me a couple of names of albums that you consider masterpieces in minor prog (if you think there are any, of course)? Just for the sake of conversation, I don’t want to make comparisons...

Oh, by the way, this discussion comes just as I've finished a review on a group that I rated three stars for the first time... Sign of destiny? Who knows... We'll see :)

Ole, you know you're one of the people I respect the most here on Deb. There's no doubt that I tend to evaluate albums much more positively than you do. I think I also know why (as far as I'm concerned): the fact is that by only listening to prog and jazz, my criteria for judgment skyrocket when it comes to those genres, but not out of excessive enthusiasm, rather because I simply know them better... I understand them... I feel more at ease listening to them. I came here precisely to expand my musical horizons and maybe one day I will succeed. Thanks for the chat, Ole; it’s always a pleasure. @Elio: rereading what I wrote to you, I feel like I was definitely harsh... I apologize for that... and aside from that, I want to say that unfortunately I live veeeery far from you... but, as they say, never say never ;)
