Great album!! I finally listened to it. Supersoul, I've recently discovered a gem, you probably know them.... what do you think of Damnation of Adam Blessing? They seem to have good rock qualities (less hard than these) also leaning towards blues, pop, and psychedelia.... I really like their first two albums.

"the trusty (alas, only for him) Lieutenant Scott Thunes on bass" supersoul can you explain this thing about Thunes to me that I think I've heard somewhere else. What did Thunes (great bassist by the way) do with Zappa (who, as far as I know, was literally taken with him)?. I don't know the record in question and I don't find it hard to think that it’s a masterpiece (given that Zappa always operates around these qualitative standards). This is the same lineup that appears in the video live "Does humor belong in music?" if I'm not mistaken..

I saw it for free last night (at the theater!!) on the occasion of a memorial for De André, and I have to say it was excellent. I don't know any of his solo albums, but last night I felt like I recognized two or three pieces in the style of "Creuza de ma" that were really beautiful and aren't part of the original album with Faber, so I believe I will listen to this.
