Robert Wyatt Dondestan

Hi Alia, it’s a pleasure to see you around here again. I highly recommend Wyatt (and keep in mind that I only really know Donà from that famous appearance of Robert in the album and in the music video), just as I recommend it to Hell (regarding the works post '70) since every piece he creates is a must-have. I also thank Jargon and Gustavo, and I hope to be more present on deb these days.

Given that I don't particularly like them either (I really enjoy the remix album, but that doesn't count), the review is perfect and manages to entice me to listen.

Ok, I confirm the five. It's a blast of a record!

The album grows with every listen, as does my now eternal love for these five crazies with their counter-counter-balls (to quote a bit of ugly panda who wrote a great comment). I'm giving a high initial rating just to raise the average, but we're already well over a 4.

Sure, the cover is great, and so is the package in simulated vinyl.

I'm listening to it slowly and it seems very interesting (the first track is amazing with that jazzy interlude of drums and ambient keyboards, and "gigantes" is another great piece), but for me they have really never made any missteps (so I agree with FOSCA, "It's all around you" is a beautiful album just like "Standards"). Anyway, after all the negative reviews I read online, I was expecting a harsh criticism on debaser as well. Thank goodness I was wrong ;-)

I vote for the review. I have the impression that reviewing a music video allows for greater freedom of expression. Your writings always start from interesting ideas and seem to leave plenty of room to digress as much as possible on the subject. Or maybe it's the types of videos you choose...who knows. Anyway, Massive Attack is another one of those bands that excel with their videos (Karmacoma, Sly, Protection, Angel, Inertia Creeps are stunning).

Well, this is a hell of a music video for an incredibly beautiful track.
