Only three albums? Don't forget perhaps "I was made to love magic" full of unreleased tracks? Anyway, I agree with those who say that we should only have his three studio LPs (+ the posthumous one I mentioned).

Ok, I should re-listen to it. I bought it a couple of years ago because the piece "Verità Nascoste" is one of the most beautiful things ever written in my opinion, but I’ve never listened to the rest of the album in full. I absolutely love their more melodic works; in that, they’ve been masters for me. For me, their masterpieces are "Collage," "Felona e sorona," and especially "Uomo di pezza." Anyway, it’s always nice to see a review of Le Orme on the homepage, so who cares if it’s a duplicate.

No, I don't hate him, believe me. Maybe I exaggerated in my expression, but when I say that "I can't digest him" I mean that it's a type of listening that hasn't gone deep for me. I generally appreciate Moltheni, especially in his "stripped-down," acoustic form. The image of him that has pleasantly stuck in my mind is from Battiato's first film where, as a singer with an acoustic guitar, he performs "Prigioniero del mondo" by the late Battisti for an audition. Perhaps I'm too attached to that image, whereas the subsequent impressions (derived from a more in-depth listening) diverge a bit. That's why I say I'll try listening again, because it's likely (indeed, it's certain) that my approach was too superficial ;-)

I believe that, as he himself stated in an interview, this should be determined through individual experience. Castaneda (at least for me) is not just a casual read. What he discusses, especially in the books following the initial trilogy, is something mysterious yet terribly familiar. I often feel compelled to interject in the conversation because I hardly know anyone with whom to share this interest :-), I have read all his works at least twice, and I have also experimented with some of the things he talks about (not in terms of the use of psychotropic substances, that's just the surface; the true Castaneda reveals himself after those initial chapters) mostly in the realm of conscious dreaming. Regarding the fact that we'll never know whether what he describes in his books is reality or fantasy, he himself explains the importance of being invisible and annihilating one's personal history (and he justifies the very few objective data about his experiences and the people he met during his apprenticeship). However, I feel inclined to quote the good old Oshio when he said that it doesn’t matter whether the story I tell you actually happened or not; what matters is that it contains a truth. :-)
