The first one I saw as a kid in the cinema as soon as it came out: nothing was known about what the plot was hiding, and when I figured out what it was about, the effect was literally explosive. A milestone. I also watched the sequel(s): I don’t remember if there was just one or two, and that’s the thing I remember best about the sequel(s), just to give an idea of how little they left an impression on me. So, who knows, I don't think I'll even catch a whiff of this one.

I read the story that concludes the Ken Parker saga ('fin dove arriva il mattino') that came out in 2015 (I had no idea about it and I stumbled upon it by chance in a comic book store): it simply couldn't have ended any other way. A punch in the stomach. And too much in the throat. Legend.

Here we go again. But why are you telling the plot of the movie? Writing a review of the film is not the same as writing the plot.

I recently saw it again. It confirms itself as a true gem (to which I gladly raise my rating to a full 5) from all perspectives: plot, characters, screenplay, unforgettable and explosive moments, and an excellent performance by all the actors: they all work on removing elements (instead of constantly adding, as I often see many actors do) until they reach the essential. That's why everything 'sounds' extremely natural and true. The soundtrack deserves applause: it transitions perfectly from punk to classical music, to alternative, to Ivan Graziani: each piece, despite (or precisely because of) being so different from the others, serves to accompany and emotionally enrich every moment. A little-mentioned yet fundamental Italian film from the 00s.

I disagree with the assessment, but as usual, the review is very well done. A film of this magnitude deserves a solid 5.

I also watched the second part a few days ago: I evaluate it as a unique film, and it is definitely good, but I don't feel like giving more than an ample 3 overall. However, I am particularly fond of the book, which I consider an absolute masterpiece.

About the review, I wouldn't know what to say, anyway two is already a lot. The film is the fourth (of 5) in the Fantozzi saga, which will essentially conclude with Fantozzi va in pensione (what an ending, a saga with a circular structure practically), the others are just there to add volume, mostly. But out of the 5, for me all of them are a 5.

By the way, you've spoiled everything. I don’t know.

I don't know, I think you missed some points: defining Zen Arcade as alternative rock seems really wrong to me, in the sense that we're still very much in the hardcore punk realm, even if it's already looking quite a bit beyond. Alternative is actually represented by New Day Rising; in fact, it's one of those albums that gives birth to it alongside Sonic Youth, Pixies, and so on. Instead, you use hardcore to describe this album.

You're right, I've been waiting for it since 1970.
