I have increased the rating of this album by one star, as its artistic inspiration remains at a high level (it’s pointless to compare it with the previous four, after all). In any case, the much-criticized Pink Floyd of the post-Waters era will produce the double album The Division Bell/The Endless River, both of which I believe are superior to this latest one with Waters (at least musically) and absolutely more representative of their sound.

I remember it well, a three seems reasonable to me. Great review.

Saw it 2/3 years ago. I remember it being a nice film. Nice review, Soto.

Well, there's not much to add for now. The nice thing is that I imagined it exactly as you described it. Great review.

The whole album is beautiful. Often a bit underrated because it's compared to what they did before and what they will do after. As far as I'm concerned, starting from Zen Arcade, all 5s, with obviously at the top those I consider their 3 absolute peaks.

I watched the first 4/5 episodes: 5 out of trust, and both of us will take our time, and when I finish it, I will read.

I'm not reading anything because I don't want to have any kind of spoilers: I've heard great things about it, and I'll probably start watching it tonight, then I'll review it. In the meantime, great job as always for the suggestions.

Checked out the scattered advice above, Almo! And thank you.

Thank you, Dema! Yes, absolutely, we had already talked about it and I’m convinced you would like them a lot. I also remember that I had recommended a bit too many albums to start with, so I would now say that if you get "Perfect from Now On" and "You in Reverse" (you can find both in full on YouTube), that should be enough to get to know them. Then, if you feel like it, you can dive deeper.

I agree with Hj that it's better to use decades. Regarding the point about alternatives and indie, it's certainly a convenient definition, like practically all definitions/classifications of rock. I see "alternative" as a huge container filled with a ton of stuff that came out between the mid-'80s and the late '90s, both in the USA and in the UK/Ireland. Stuff that is often very different from one another, but still with some common points. The discussion changes for the 2000s (that's when many start using the term "indie" more to differentiate the crazy wave of bands that emerged in just a few years from what had happened in the 15 years prior). In any case, to keep it short, when I'm asked "What's your favorite music genre?" I cut to the chase with "Alternative" and then, if they're interested, I elaborate. No, I don't know Okkervil River.
