I don't remember it well, except for a few scenes: I do remember that it didn't particularly impress me. Still, I think I’m one of the very few to whom "gol" basically didn't appeal. My peers were crazy about it. I don’t know.

@[IlConte] let's see if you understand why I mentioned you here

Um, the reviews can actually be modified 😉

I was also talking to @[Rocky Marciano] about their number 1, which for me remains The Seer, while he isn't too fond of the phase 2 of the Cigni. In any case, this is one of theirs that I don't know, but since it's still in their very early phase, I’ll skip it because I don't think it suits me. I've known them since Children of God onwards, at least all the most important ones.

I just started it, so I'm not reading anything just to be safe and I'm reviewing.

Here is one of the Japanese comics I've always kept at a safe distance from. Instead, I fondly remember in the 90s Video Girl Ai mentioned by @[Bartleboom].

I deeply admire the Japanese conception of comics: they truly have something for everyone and have produced global masterpieces perhaps like no other country in the world. I read some of the author in question a few years ago and it didn't blow me away, but we're simply talking about tastes: in my Japanese top there are titles like Berserk, Monster, 20th Century Boys, Devilman, Ushio e Tora, which are quite far from this author's approach.

Well, aside from the fact that "niche" doesn’t really apply anymore, considering the cinematic adaptations. But even if they were still considered niche, it wouldn’t change anything at all. Personally, I find them to be the most creative, intelligent, and with a deep sense of comedy that I don’t see reflected anywhere else in Italy today.

I find the first 5 good/excellent. The comeback with Odio l'Estate has been evident; I'm very curious about this: I've read great reviews and yours is a confirmation.

I agree on the first 2 Breeders and on Kim Deal. I completely disagree on Doggerel and in general on the Pixies post-Trompe le monde, which I continue to consider absolutely valid. I don’t know, it seems to me that it has become too easy to criticize the new Pixies without even listening to them carefully. It's a bit like what was done for twenty years with Bossanova and Trompe le monde, only to later reevaluate them rightly.
