The Strokes The New Abnormal

I liked it, I have no idea what they did after Room of Fire, but it seemed like a nice album to me, I confirm your 4.

Of all the slew of new bands that emerged in the early 00s, the only ones I still follow are primarily the Arctic Monkeys (because I really consider them an excellent band) and The Vines (because their last two albums reignited my interest—nothing special compared to their usual, but at least they have definitely surpassed the disaster of the two albums after Vision Valley). The Strokes, like many others, I liked a lot on their first album (like Interpol and the Libertines, for example) and then I dropped them. Let’s see, maybe give this one a listen.

I never felt it, and I even lived through that period, although always through the more well-known ones. Certainly, from the references provided, I don't think they do much for me (Suede have never been my cup of tea, and I haven't been able to listen to Radiohead for quite a while now). Nevertheless, the review is beautiful; sometimes I really don’t know what music to put in my ears to accompany this period that I avoid defining because any term would seem trivial to me. Probably the music that has always made me feel 'at home' is the best choice.
Antonello Venditti Benvenuti in paradiso

1991: For us, "Benvenuti in Paradiso" by Antonello Venditti: I can't remember musically what was happening, that same year, in Anglo-American music. Probably nothing important since everyone was buying "Benvenuti in Paradiso" by Antonello Venditti.

How great is the latest from Arctic Monkeys (But we've already talked about it extensively), interesting mention.

El Dema! Mouth-watering references for me, I'm adding it to the list! Exciting the last quote, fluid, concise, and complete, just let me tell you that!

I haven't followed them for quite some time now (since the terrible Rioct Act for me, after that just bits and pieces here and there), I really enjoyed Vedder's first solo album, but the point with them, as far as I'm concerned, is that they always offer more or less the same things without surprises, and I'm not particularly fond of them (an element that would have pushed me to follow them at least a bit longer). In any case, this new one, also thanks to your review Grant, I'll give it a listen, who knows.

I instinctively refused (and will probably refuse again, but once I finish reading, like, whatever) to watch the Dark Tower movie (I mean, they made a movie based on a saga of 7 books). I'll soon start the seventh after a break of several months from the penultimate. However, this intrigues me, and I have no intention of reading the book, so...
Colour Haze We Are

I didn't know they had released a new album (actually, I haven't even listened to the two before this), but the trio Los sounds de krauts, Colour haze, and Tempel is fantastic (I also liked All and She Said). I'll catch up on the last three sooner or later.
