great review but a bit too biased, not to mention that the album officially comes out on January 20th, but oh well :) I expect a lot from this Rave Tapes because their previous release (Les Revenants) is one of their absolute best works in my very personal opinion, if not the best.

Don't complain that if your wife liked Cristicchi, it was worse. I saw them 2 days after this and they were exceptional; there wasn't a single moment of boredom (which is a bit easier to find on some of their records). The new bassist (who has a name, I swear: Rob Halkett) might stick out a bit just in appearance, but on stage there was a perfect chemistry; he's a stoner, yes (the people in the front row were passing him joints from start to finish), but he was impeccable. Anyway, if you had a couple of double malts before seeing them, maybe that would vaporize the stick up your ass and suddenly you'd start smiling again (but that's just a suggestion, eh :D)
