"of an Italian singer who played a significant role in my musical upbringing, having brought to life a series of songs that rightfully became part of the soundtrack of my life." I'm sorry, but how did it happen???
The Mars Volta Frances The Mute

Truly beautiful!!! If it weren't for the first part sung of "l'via l'viaquez," which feels very much like commercial crap, it would be a 5-star album! (Who knows then why in Spanish, Ba!) A special mention for the magnificent Miranda, who in just a few played seconds (towards the end) manages to evoke so many emotions, and to "Cassandra gemini," which remains the strong piece of the album (the trumpets are exceptional). Definitely a more beautiful and captivating album than "De-loused In The Comatorium." An exceptional work in an era where there is really very little good!

I still have to listen to this. So far, their best album is definitely "Frances The Mute". If it weren't for "l'via l'viaquez", which annoys me incredibly (at least the first part of the song), it would be a perfect album.

I bought the album in Amsterdam. Two days after I returned (a few months ago), I read this review that talked about it in a more than enthusiastic way, especially regarding "Moon In June." That evening, I decided to take the CD with friends without ever having listened to it. Time passed as usual (between one joint and another :-)) and when it got late, we decided to go home. As soon as we got into the car, I suggested we listen together for the first time to the fateful, much-lauded "Moon In June." Not even halfway through the piece, I thought, "damn, these guys are really heavy." I kept listening, not understanding all those strange musings of a piece that seemed to have no damned logical thread, while my friends were already headbanging. None of the three of us in that car could grasp the beauty of what we were hearing. One of my friends said it had no head or tail (with a predictable ending), while the other, who I was trying to get into the genre in those days, moved further away instead. As I already said, I didn't understand the piece either, but it left something very deep inside me that pushed me (in the following days) to keep listening to the CD more and more often (always from start to finish). Being one of the most complex albums I've ever listened to, it took me some time to understand it (but I believe that once you've assimilated Third, you can listen to and understand any album without major issues, or almost). To this day, for me, THIRD is one of the greatest musical works ever conceived, certainly among the top 5 of all time. Even though the band that stands out for me remains Pink Floyd, I must admit that none of their albums match this immense work. DaveJon's review is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful on the entire site. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Grandi Mantram really know how to put on a show, there's no denying it. I've seen them live several times (I saw them at the Stazione Birra), and I even have their album. Laura on drums is tireless (she could go on for hours), Giovanni on guitar adds his own flair and is the lyricist, Mario is a great bassist, and Daniele plays guitar and has remarkable vocal skills!!! It's not exactly my genre, but if you like this type of music, I recommend it!!

This is a magnificent absurd fucking record! Can we not mention the mind-blowing "missing out" (in the review)?
