We xyz, look I hate Scaruffi as much as the anti-Scaruffi do. He, like all those fucking critics, got some things right and some things wrong. I can’t stand those who treat his site like the Bible just as much as I can't stand those who refuse to listen to his records out of sheer bias. I’m in the middle; for example? "safe as milk" for me is a great album, "trout mask replica" or however the hell you spell it I listened to once and it gave me diarrhea (too "experimental at all costs," too "forced").
