I'm talking about Slayer at the Unholy. By the way, I've never liked Slayer live, too heavy metal and mean, too static, too cold. I wouldn't know what to say about Testament, but in terms of produced albums, I believe they are inferior to many thrash bands (including Metallica), even though they've churned out a few masterpieces themselves ;)

I saw Slayer precisely at the Unholy Alliance two years ago, if I'm not mistaken. The one with Lamb of God, In Flames, Avenged Sevenfold, etc., where the power went out a couple of times, remember? Well, Hannemann and King are two poles. They don't move, they don't bring any stage presence; Araya's voice by now is an unbearable whine while I can't say anything bad about the evergreen Lombardo. I've never seen Testament, but do you really want to compare Mustaine's mastery on stage to Hetfield's?

Cynic, yes you're right, but those are just details :)
Auto, Metallica still deliver fresh live performances, fresher than their colleagues Slayer for example, who are a bit stale live, in my opinion.
