Vasco Rossi Il mondo che vorrei

The comments I've read are not about the album but about Vasco, so I'll share my thoughts on the rocker from Zocca: until '96, Vasco produced works of excellent quality: "Colpa d'Alfredo," "Siamo solo noi," "Liberi liberi," "Gli spari sopra," "Nessun pericolo per te," writing truly beautiful songs. Then came three albums that didn't match the previous ones, featuring tracks like "Rewind," "Come stai," "Ti prendo e ti porto via," good for getting the new generations jumping at concerts and for advertising jingles. However, he was still able to write pieces where you can find the Vasco of old: "Quanti anni hai," "Stupido hotel," "Non basta niente," "Un senso." In the latest album, there are no "summer" songs, also because he doesn't need them; it's a well-crafted album with excellent musicians and some very valid lyrics. That said, I want to tell Lux that he's right about "Asilo Republic," but there are many other great Vasco songs that make "Italian" rock without imitating anyone. Cheers to everyone!

play with me is a rock piece enriched by Slash's guitar, reminiscent of Vasco's "delusa" and "stendimi," made to be performed live. "dimmelo te" is an ironic track; here too, the concept is that of being "practically perfect." In short, Vasco admits to being fallible and sarcastically asks for answers from those who think they never make mistakes.

I forgot Lou Reed, Neil Young, Pistoia Blues, but what are you listening to? I'm sure I have CDs in my discography that you like too. I have no prejudices, and then you don't even like Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Clapton... I know and listen to many other less known bands and artists, but I haven't seen them in concert.

19 lengths failed you'll be there but you know who you're talking to, idiot. If you want, I can lend you some of my 14,000 CDs, all original, and I'll show you the tickets for the concerts I've seen: Rolling Stones, Dylan, Cure, the boss, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, U2 (in their golden age), R.E.M., Oasis, Cave, Blur, Clapton, and all the great Italian singer-songwriters, and I’m forgetting many others, idiot.

sciusciola don’t take it the wrong way and go to the concert with tamtam, you'll have fun, especially because Vasco is the only one in Italy who puts on a show worthy of the great European legends.

"The world I would like" is a bitter, sincere album; "here you can only lose," expressing the eternal dissatisfaction of a unique artist. "And it’s always when I get there that I would start over," and now that I've made it this far thanks to my dreams, what do I do with reality? Simple yet direct lyrics that "hit home," Vasco doesn't give answers or solutions, but he asks for them, ironically: "You tell me what matters, I can’t even understand what I have anymore, and if an angel doesn't come and if rock'n'roll isn't born... you tell me."
