I just can't place bands like Mission of Burma or Wipers within that era. I have my own opinion: the bands that are difficult to "label" are the greatest of all time, like Pink Floyd (Psych? Prog?), King Crimson (it's even too simple to call them Prog, as they prove to be just as fundamental in Post-Rock), Velvet Underground, Stooges, Sonic Youth, and so on. Wire are among them too :)

This intention of "not making art" makes them even more artistic than NeoProg bands (speaking of the same era and considering that the usual clichés suggest the opposite, although tastes are obviously subjective).

A curiosity, since I'm not an expert in the genre, but I really appreciate these major players on the scene, I believe that the first two albums by Wire (perhaps even more so or on par with the Ramones) have had a significant influence on these structures of American HC, is that possible?

And this interests me too. ps: @Geb of Appleseed I’m listening to and enjoying their debut, "The End of the Ring Wars", maybe their more recent ones attract me less, we’ll see, thanks for the advice from the last review ;)

@Hellring: I recommend "Fordlandia" by Johannsson, a nice piece of work, it might be a bit wordy at times (but not excessively), but the symphonic part makes it very enjoyable.

Well, there's no point in mentioning them further; the Black Flag, as we know, have influenced the subsequent eras starting from the Melvins.

Minor Threat is undoubtedly the purest sound of Hardcore, and in these terms, the most representative band for other bands in their scene, given their immense artistic value (Hüsker Dü, Minutemen, Flipper, etc...) it "could" even be reductive to define them solely as "Hardcore."

An artist I have greatly appreciated, especially for "Copia," there are better and more original authors in this Ambient/semi-neoclassical genre, in my opinion, such as Nico Muhly and Johann Johannsson.

This review is really embarrassing; even the ones by Finley are better. The product could actually be good; I've heard something about the space, clearly derivative but not necessarily to be discarded, but a review like this certainly doesn't support it.

Among the many Jappi I need to explore, this group, which includes a host of phenomena I’m already familiar with, I believe is the best starting point.
