I find it amusing that some people believe Radiohead are from another planet compared to Muse and Coldplay; they’re simply part of the same musical vein. As mainstream pop, I appreciate all three of them very much.

Professors? We are just students, and the lovely Miss MariaElena is our teacher!
Lycia A Day in the Stark Corner

The only one I know so far from Lycia is truly magnificent. I might be mistaken, but at times they remind me somewhat of The Cure's "Faith" in particular.

Another of the infinite gems of '70s prog, as always expert at rediscovering them, faith, sonorities very much in the Genesis-Gabriel period of Trespass/Nursery Cryme, it is an album that is very pleasant from start to finish, an example that the best prog has nothing to do with the stereotype of being redundant and technically self-indulgent.

@panico: it seems clear to me that this is just a good album and nothing more, just like the sounds and rhythm I intended, nothing else :) When I read their parts, I said, alright now I'll write something about the record (mine are from "Dopo averci" to "Howling" :)

@Panic: they have nothing to do with the genre of Mogwai, but the two closing tracks of this album vaguely remind me of some parts of songs like "Scotland's Shame" or "Thank You Space Expert," it was just to give a reference to the style of the individual tracks ;)
The Radio Dept. Clinging To A Scheme
Voto:
Very pleasant these Radio Dept., maybe in the EP format they stand out even more; my favorite of theirs so far is "Pulling Our Weight EP," I look forward to listening to the latest one. @Geb: the anthology "The Shining Breeze" by Slowdive has just been released, it's already on Amazon.

Ahh finally another review of Ole! I really like them, a dark-wave-shoegaze sound, this album is very beautiful.
Alcest Écailles de Lune

Thank goodness the stunning "Souvenirs D'un autre monde" has nothing to do with Black Metal (musically speaking, whether the Frenchman is part of that genre is another matter, in my opinion). This "Ecalles de Lune" could have been another nice work, but they went ahead and inserted some small growls in between (aside from my personal tastes, this last one is quite pleasant too).

I don't know him as a solo artist yet.
