I really enjoyed Dan's soloist; in the long run, it turns out to be just pleasant, less exhilarating than their previous productions for me.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.

Exactly :), as I mentioned in that album, considering my tastes, I found sounds that were music to my ears in the reinterpretation of the soundscape of King Crimson's "Larks' Tongues In Aspic" mixed with psych-fusion. I referred to about 5 albums, more or less, those I listened to the most during that period and relating to the genre, including Far Corner, which I reviewed, the evergreen Magma, and Jannick Top's solo infernal machine, Diagonal, and then Wobbler.

I believe that the "wordiness" factor in Wobblers and Astras is almost the same; even in the title track of "Hinterland," I think they tend to drag a bit. The Astras have extended the album's length by adding more tracks in "The Weirding," which certainly makes the product more verbose, causing it to lose the comparison in terms of compactness with the two works. The Diagonal, which I fondly remember you promoted at the time, I think are stylistically more original, effective, and much less derivative, so a notch above the others mentioned.

As I've said multiple times, this is my favorite album by IQ. Regarding the Neo-Prog discussion, I believe there are revivals of other genres with derivative artists that are just as trivial or even more so, so I see no reason to criticize this sub-genre, unless one must write encyclopedias on music while in the bathroom.

I believe that Wobbler offers a formula not far from Astra, considering the respective similar or dissimilar reference points of the two bands; they are derivative expansions in the style of '70s Prog, which, unlike many contemporary bands, showcase a pleasant stylistic freshness.

If I had to recommend 5 Prog albums from the decade 2000/2009, this one would definitely be included.
