In an era where pseudo-indie bands come and go, Techno/electronic music is everywhere, Radical chic pops up here and there, and rappers are marketed as geniuses, along with endless mannerisms of "Post-Rock" band imitators (nothing wrong with any of this, let's be clear), the Reunion of Dinosaur Jr. is a huge breath of fresh air and the best thing for music and for ROCK in recent years (IMHO).

I will listen to this as my next "Prog." For the past couple of days, it has proven to be a perfect backdrop, but also absolutely concrete compositions—a beautiful discovery, indeed. It reminds me a bit of the Tortoise's attitude in manipulating these jazzy sounds with the energy of a rock album.
