Bob Dylan Highway 61 Revisited

Anyway, reading the review, I believe it should have been an immediate de-case, where sometimes you find pearls that explain the meaning of an album better than any duplicate on the regular home page. With the comment 8, you definitely understand the connection better. @Progknight: it seems very absurd to me to consider the artist most objectively overrated as Dylan, but that's your opinion... you're free to think that. My nickname actually doesn't mean Progressive... oh no, but it's an abbreviation of PRogrammiOggiGuidatv.

"Sultans of Sentiments" is one of my all-time favorite albums, and this debut is equally valid.

Not to mention Mao Tse-Tung's cultural revolution and the deaths, the massacres it caused, I still see parties with his face depicted, what a shame.

@47: regarding Dylan's lack of depth, it was clear that I was referring to Progknight who unfairly labeled him as overrated and not at all to you. I know well that you listen to and appreciate Prog, I haven't forgotten that;), not even the latest Kc or Omar Rodriguez Lopez. From your comment, which perfectly describes the artistry of Dylan's lyrics, I only took issue with the last comparison of "junk" that I felt was out of place. It would be like saying that "The Musical Box" by Genesis is better than most of Rock’n’Roll (a phrase that could be said by a progghettaro too tied to his cup of tea). I understand, though, that you were trying to explain your previous comment. It is indeed true that there are people too attached to scenes and contexts; this happens with more genres, but everyone does as they please. By discussing and exploring, we can overcome these "musical integralism."

Every work has its value and its context; what nonsense these pseudo-considerations are, I believe also lacking depth regarding the value of Dylan or certain equally pointless comparisons. :)

Very interesting, that "echoes of Crystal Castles, Slowdive, Mùm, Justice" promises a lot.

@stone: Indeed, the namesake of the Cugini is a gem; it’s hard to compare the two works. However, we should also consider "Dove era lei a quell'ora" by Alunni del Sole. Aside from that, I find that the balance among the components of Pink Floyd is also found, perhaps even more so, in "Animals," which I believe is a small step above the previous two, DS and WYWH. @SydBarrett96: If you don’t already know, I recommend "Sea Shanties" and the self-titled album by High Tide, since I see you’re familiar with the more well-known albums and artists of the time.

Unforgivable oversight in the description of the historical context: In 1970, the group was founded, signed by Pull of Bruno Zambrini and Gianni Meccia, and their first song is Il ballo di Peppe, launched by the show Alto gradimento, hosted by Gianni Boncompagni and Renzo Arbore. In 1971, the year of the release of "Meddle" by Pink Floyd, Cugini di Campagna released "Di di Yammy/La ragazza italiana," the second of the 45s that follows "Il ballo di Peppe/Tolòn-Tolòn" and precedes their first self-titled LP of 1972.
