I also appreciate your "romantic" style of writing reviews, but every now and then it's also right to set it aside a bit as Blech says, result...a wonderful review ;) I will definitely delve into those later.

Great debut as a reviewer, I said it was going well... ;). The MV represent one of the best bands in Italy considering the '90s, stylistically very influenced by Slint in my opinion.

A pleasant alternative version of the Shoegaze masterpiece.
Spock's Beard Snow

I appreciate Inside Out for some of the artists involved (Riverside, Frost, The Tangent, Paatos, Spock's Beard...) but to be honest, I also don't really enjoy listening to bands like Flower Kings, Arena, or IQ that always replicate the same style; they are revivals of Prog, some successful and others less so. The real masterpieces of Progressive are different.
Spock's Beard Snow

Not a masterpiece, but a double Concept Album that is enjoyable to listen to. Of Spock's Beard, I prefer the early works, particularly "The Light." However, I still appreciate the more recent period with Nick D'Virgilio as the band's leader.

Explosions In The Sky How Strange, Innocence

I would define the style of Explosions In The Sky as a middle ground between the "short" tracks of Mogwai and the lengthy compositions of GY!BE.

You said it well: "For those who feed on post-rock, talking about Explosions In The Sky is like talking about a brotherly friend." They are among my most frequent listens, along with bands like Dirty Three, Mogwai, Don Caballero, and especially Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who in my opinion are the best project in the genre, a sort of culmination of Post Rock, as I mentioned in a previous comment.
Syd Barrett Barrett
Voto:
In my opinion, it's wrong to downplay the importance of the Post-Barrett works: Pink Floyd evolved into a different style, based on Gilmour's guitar work with structures leaning towards Progressive, continuing to release other masterpieces and demonstrating great studio craftsmanship. The fact that they sold a tremendous amount during the later part of their career does not mean that their works became more artistically simplistic. The "Barrett" and "Post-Barrett" periods are contexts that are hard to compare, but both are of absolute value.
